After sitting by our little camp for around fifteen minutes, my stomach started to grumble. I got up off the dirty ground and decided to stroll over to the nearby store to see what I could find for breakfast.

After a two minute walk, I walked up to the front door of the supermarket and pulled on the handle. Locked. I grumbled under my breath. I looked up at the sign stating the hours. It didn't open for another 2 hours! My stomach growled again. I groaned. Where was I supposed to find food now? I looked around and spotted a Starbucks across the street. I crossed the road and went inside. The cafe was very cozy with lots of soft leather armchairs and couches. It smelled like coffee and muffins. Mmmmm... I was practically drooling at the sight of all the sweets behind the counter. I strolled up to the register and ordered some breakfast.

With my arms full with food, I started the walk back to our camp. Within a couple of minutes, I arrived at the campsite. I glanced over at Eve and Zach. They were fast asleep, just as I had left them. I plunked down on the dirt ground and began to eat. After a few minutes, I heard Zach start to stir. "Mmmmm." Mumbled Zach, rolling over. He opened his eyes, squinting due to the bright sunlight. "Good morning." He said sitting up. "Hi." I replied, looking away. I was not interested in talking to Zach right now. I handed him a bagel. "Here." I said. "Thanks." We ate in silence. "Hey, Nicky, I just wanted to-" All of a sudden, there was a blinding flash of white light. My vision went blurry. I heard Zach scream out, but I couldn't make out what he said. My body felt heavy, like I couldn't move. Then, all of a sudden, my vision focused. I was at our campsite. I watched three people walk into the clearing: Zach, Eve and I. It was late afternoon. Zach and Eve were walking ahead, and I was walking behind them by myself. Is this some kind of a dream? Eve was babbling some story to Zach, before they both burst into laughter. I rolled my eyes behind them, as if to say 'seriously?'. "I'll be right back." said Eve, flashing Zach a smile before running into the forest. "Okay." He replied. After thirty seconds, there was a yell, and about ten gunshots. I watched Zach and I fall to the ground. At first, to my horror, I thought we were dead. But then I realized we were only tranquillized. I watched around fifteen SWAT agents step out from behind the trees along with... Eve? "Good work boys!" She exclaimed, shaking hands with who seemed to be the leader. I watched the man hand her a lump of hundred dollar bills. "Thanks for the anonymous tip, miss!" Said the officer. Eve turned us in? Is this a vision of the future? I need to warn Za-All of a sudden, I felt the vision go blurry and fade to black. I opened my eyes, blinking in the bright light, to reveal Zach standing over me. "Nicky!" He exclaimed. "What happened?" I asked, sitting up and looking around still a little bit dazed. "You just passed out." He said, shrugging. "Oh my god, Zach I think I just had a vision!" I said excitedly. "I think it's about the future." "Woah..." He said, awestruck. "What happened?" " Come here." I said, leading Zach over to a corner of the clearing. I glanced over at Eve. She appeared to be asleep, but one can never be too careful. "Eve is going to turn us in." I whispered. I told him everything that happened. "Nicky..." He said doubtingly. "I don't know what you saw, but I don't think that Eve would turn us in. She seems trustworthy to me. We went through this already..." He trailed off. "Why do you keep defending her?" I said loudly, almost yelling. "Nicky-" "She is going to turn us in. Then we will be taken to a lab where we will be tested and stuff! Is this what you want? To be some... some scientist's lab rat?" "Look Nicky!" He looked at me desperately. "Please let her stay. I understand what your saying, I just don't think that it's right to just dump her on the street like this. What if your vision was wrong, or was referring to something else?" "It was referring to this we both know tha-"All of a sudden, I saw Eve open her eyes then close them again, obviously pretending to be asleep. "She's awake." I grumbled, crossing my arms over my chest. I walked back over to the campsite, and sat down by the tree. I sighed, rummaging through my pocket for my phone. After I finally found it, plugged earbuds into the headphone port and put some Coldplay music on. I shoved the earbuds into my ears, tuning everyone else out and giving myself some room to think. So... I have a new power...? Or was that just some kind of a dream? I closed my eyes. Will the vision come true? Is Eve evil? Why doesn't Zach believe me? I wondered, drifting of into a dreamless sleep.
