"We have company. Grab your stuff." Zach instructed me. "They're coming upstairs right now." "How many are there?" "Too many." He responded. I grabbed my backpack and the rope. "Forget the rope. No time." He said wrapping his arms around my waist. "Umm, are you sure about this-" "Hold on." He said as he walked over to the window. All of a sudden, I heard someone pounding on our door. "FBI! Open up!" Yelled a voice on the other side. "On three." Said Zach. "One...Two...Three!" He said, jumping out. I closed my eyes tight. At first I felt myself falling, but then, I felt an upwards pull as Zach's flying powers kicked in. "Woah." I said, as we soared higher and higher up into the clouds. "Pretty cool, huh?" Said Zach grinning. But then all of a sudden, I heard a gunshot, as a bullet missed us by only a couple of inches. "They're firing at us!" I exclaimed. Zach immediately started zigzagging though the air, trying to dodge bullets. I heard more gunshots, but I didn't think any of them hit us. Then, all of a sudden the gunshots stopped and I heard Zach yell out in pain. I looked up. He had been shot in the side! His face was scrunched up, wincing, and I could feel his breathing quickening. I could already feel us losing altitude. "Zach!" I yelled out. "Hold on." He said weakly, gliding towards a forest. We crash-landed painfully into a clearing. I could feel my ankle twist in a rough way, but my condition was nothing compared to Zach's. Tons of blood was pouring from the huge gash in his side. "Zach!" I yelled, limping towards him, desperately. No response. I can heal people, but I can't bring them back from the dead. I grabbed his wrist. He still had a pulse, but I had to work fast. I pulled his shirt up, revealing the wound. Way too much blood coming out. I placed my hands on the gash, closed my eyes and focused. I felt an unusual warmth in my hands as I watched Zach's muscles repair themselves, and his skin close over the wound. After only a few seconds he was good as new. I felt his pulse. It was normal. He will wake up in an hour or so. I thought, starting to gather wood for a fire.

An hour and a half later, Zach finally started to stir. I looked over at him. He was pretty much fine after I healed him, but he was still dangerously pale from all the blood he lost. I had managed to start a fire using some rocks, so now I was warming my hands and feet waiting for him to wake up. All of a sudden, Zach jolted awake, breathing heavily. "What happened!? Where are we!?" He said, gasping for air. "Calm down. We're safe. Well, for now anyways." I said. He touched his side where he was shot. "After you blanked out, we crash-landed here. Then I healed you and started a fire. You've been out for about an hour and a half." I explained. He looked up at me. "Thank you. You saved my life." He tried to stand up, but he was too weak. "Rest. You lost a ton of blood. You're weak." I sat down next to him. "So... Where do we go now?" He said. "Well... I don't really know. Anywhere in the United States is off limits obviously..." I trailed off. "What time is it?" he asked. "Ten past three." I said, realizing how tired I was. I yawned. "Do you want to rest? We can take turns keeping guard. I'll take first shift." He offered. "Okay." I said, unzipping my backpack and pulling some small fleece blankets. I have one to Zach, and put the other one on the ground for me to sleep on. "Good night" I said. "Good night." Said Zach, as I drifted off to sleep.
