Chapter 2

*Present Time*

Vincent's POV

It has been six years since the last time I talked to Alexa. Six fucking long years since I've realized that Alexa was more than just a cousin for me. I loved her, no I still love her. How can I be that stupid? It's too late now. She hates me. I don't even know what I did wrong. She suddenly became cold.

The past six years were hell. I graduated from college, and passed the board exam for electrical engineer. But all of those are nothing. I felt empty for the past six years.

Naputol ang pag mumuni ko nang tumunog yung phone ko.

*Tito Alex calling...*

"Oh shit. Hello, yes, Tito?"

"Are you available today Vincent? May problem dito sa reunion site. The lights and speakers are not working properly. I think somethings wrong with the wirings. Can you come?"

Sino ba namang makaka-ayaw 'nun eh ama yun ni Alexa.

"I can be there in an hour Tito. All will be well. Pahinga muna kayo dyan."

I hurriedly finished the papers for my work project and went straight to Tito's resort not knowing that I will be facing someone whom I haven't seen for so long.

Alexa's POV

Sobrang busy namin for the past two weeks. We were hosting our clan's grand reunion. Knowing how OC Daddy is, he wants things to be perfect.

"Manang good morning! Nandyan po ba si Daddy? Nabili ko na yung pinapabili nyang light fixture."

Buti nalang at summer vacation ngayon at walang pasok. I became a teacher in the span of six years and know I'm currently working at a private school and at the same time I'm studying for my doctorate.

"Ay Ma'am Alexa. Nasa veranda po si Sir Alex. Mukhang may kausap sa telepono kanina."

"Nako si Dad talaga. Palagi nalang may ginagawa. Sige manang puntahan ko muna 'yun."

As I walk to the veranda I couldn't help but reminisce what happened for the past 6 years. I graduated early from college and got my master's degree with flying colors. I busied myself with studying and when I finally got accepted to a private school I dedicated the following years to teaching. In those six years, I admit that naaalala ko parin si Vincent. Who would forget their first love that fast? Right? But, I didn't let that get to me. I continued on with my life as a dedicated teacher. As I got nearer, I see another figure standing beside Dad. Who would that be? Ang aga-aga pa para may bisita.

"Shit." I was stunned. It's him. It's Vincent. Damn, he looks good. No Alexa, stop thinking about those things.

"Hey Dad. Uh, hi Vincent. It's nice to see you after so long. It's been what 5 years?" I patted myself. Good job with that poker face Alexa. Sige 'wag kang magpa apekto sa presensya 'nya.

"It's been six years Alexa, six years and a half actually. It's good to see you Alexa." I froze. Sino bang hindi, he suddenly hugged me. Hay, Vincent. You're really not good for my health.

"Kriiiing. Kring..." A phone call interrupted our short reunion. I felt relieved as I saw the caller ID. I better take this call. He's my only hope in this situation.

"Uhm, Dad, I need to take this call, it's Kyle." Mahina kong sabi kay Dad. I don't want Vincent to hear me. I humbly left after saying my goodbye's to Vincent and took the call.

"Hello, Kyle. I need you..."
