Prologue
It was in the last year of high school when I first realized that soul mates exist. I found mine in the most unexpected place and to the most unexpected person.
His name is Vincent and I've known him since my childhood days. We grew up together in a small village where almost everyone knows who's who. We were close, and growing up I considered him as a dear friend. A best friend perhaps. I never thought that those platonic feelings would grow into something else. I realized I fell in love.
It was unexpected. I was young and I wasn't aware of how dangerous the road to love is. And I took the challenge not knowing the consequences it brought.
