Chapter 9

*Several Months Later*

Sam's POV

Today is the wedding day. I just adopted Brinlee officially yesterday. We talked to Brinlee about me adopting her & she was okay with it so we did that before the wedding because for our honeymoon we're adopting another baby. Brinlee knows about that & is excited.

"Sam you ready?" Jake asked me. Jake was one of my only friends that I knew before Colby.

"Yeah." I sighed.

"Alright Corey texted saying they're leaving in 20 so we need to get you to the church. Even tho theirs no bride or dress we still dont want you to see him before hes walking down the aisle." Jake said opening the hotel room door. I walked out & got into the uber that was waiting outside.

"What if Colby backs out?" I asked Jake after 3 minutes of silence.

"He won't. He loves you. Did his parents ever make it?" He asked. Colby didn't know it but his parents are flying in for the wedding. His mom is going to walk him down the aisle. Hes always been close to his mom.

"Yeah they wanted to meet me before the wedding." We got out of the car at the church & I took a deep breath.

"Excuse me?" I turned. "Are you Sam?" A woman asked me.

"Yes. Mrs. Brock?" I asked. She smiled & nodded.

"Its so nice to meet you finally. Colby had done a great job at hiding you." I chuckled.

"Well we've just been rolling with whatever has been happening. I also did want to ask your permission before proposing but I had no way to contact you without Colby being suspicious." She laughed & nodded.

"Well whenever Colby talked of you over the past few months he seemed the happiest hes ever been. I'm happy you found each other." I smiled. "Where's Brinlee?" She asked.

"Lisa has her. I think shes inside." I said & we went inside. Sure enough Brinlee was sitting in a church pew with Lisa. I walked over to her & kneeled on front of her.

"Hey Brin. You know theres a special guest here your daddy doesn't know about?" I asked her.

"Who!?" She asked. I pointed so she would turn & see Colby's mom standing there.

"GRANDMA!" She yelled jumping off the pews & to her. Lisa stood up & began talking to me.

"Are you ready for this Sam?" She asked.

"Of course. I've been ready for awhile." I seen Corey poke his head in & give us the sign to get into position. I stood at the alter & Jake stood behind me. Lisa had the rings to give to Brinlee to give to us during the wedding. We're so ready.

Colby's POV

Corey had me walk to the church door to lead to where the wedding was being held.

"Oh shit! I forgot something inside. Be right back." I nodded when he ran inside. Wait he hasn't gone inside yet. He was supposed to walk me down the aisle since my mom couldn't make it. I heard the music play & I internally panicked. Corey hurry up.

"Looks like you need a new escort." I heard someone say. I'd know that voice anywhere.

"Mom! I thought you couldn't make it!" I hugged her.

"Sam bought my ticket to surprise you. Let's go inside so you can get married." I smiled & we walked inside & down the aisle. I could see tears in Sam's eyes as I walked towards him. Once I finally reached him he took my hands in his.
