Chapter 7

Sams POV

"Colby its impossible for them to be in here." I told him.

"Go look in our bathroom!" He said. I walked past him into our bathroom. The mirror over our sinks was shattered & there was a note in the center. I grabbed it.

Well Colby it seems you have decided to ignore my first note. Maybe you don't understand. You WILL be mine. Moving WON'T help you. If you don't let me have you.... I guess I'll take your daughter instead.

What's wrong with this person? I walked into the living room where Colby was sitting with Brinlee. All our suitcases were by the door & Colby came over to me.

"I have to go with them."

"No Co-"

"Take care of Brin for me please." He said.

"No Colby!" I almost yelled. "You're not going with this psychopath! Brinlee needs you. I need you." I said kissing him gently.

"They'll go after her!" He said. I thought for a minute.

"Okay. Here's the plan." I whispered my plan into Colby's ear.

~A Couple Hours Later~

I just got to the hotel where Colby was currently unpacking our stuff.

"Sam I wanted to talk to you." He closed the drawer & sat on the bed. I sat next him.

"This is gonna work Colby." I told him.

"No no. I know. That's not what I want to talk about." I turned towards him & tilted my head to the side. "I want you to legally adopt Brinlee." He sighed.

"What? Wouldn't you have to give her up?"

"Sam I want her to be safe!"

"Colby! You're not gonna give up your daughter! She needs you & she loves you!" I practically shouted.

"I'm putting her in danger..." He said almost crying. I wrapped my arms around him.

"No you're not. Nobody has protected her like you." I whispered in his ear. Suddenly Colby phone dinged. He pulled it out & I can see the anger on his face. "What?" I asked.

"It was one of my idiot friends. I'll be back."

"Do you want me to go pick up Brinlee?" He nodded & we walked out.

Colbys POV

Corey texted me 'Welcome to the Prank Wars' so I'm gonna go kill him. I pulled up to the apartment building we live at & walked to Corey's apartment. I walked in without knocking & seen Corey standing by the wall looking at his phone. I grabbed his shirt & pinned him against the wall.

"What the hell?" He laughed. Devyn grabbed the camera & started filming.

"You think that was funny!? Threatening my family?" I pulled him off the wall & slammed him against it again.

"I didn't threaten your family. I wrote a note that included your daughter."

"You had me scared to death Corey! I thought someone was after me! Brinlee already lost one parent & I'll be damned if she loses another." I said letting go of him.

"Hey I'm sorry man. But after your last prank I didn't think this would be that big of a deal."

"What prank!?" I asked confused. After about 20 minutes of arguing we found out it had to be Elton & Corey apologized & he promised not to post the prank. But he sent me the video on how he set it up. I don't think I'm gonna watch it though. I'm pretty pissed it was an awful prank. I went back to the hotel to see Sam sitting there with Brinlee watching a TV show.

"Hey Brin. Hey Sam." I kissed Brinlee on the forehead & gave Sam a peck on the lips. I sat next to Sam when Brinlee sat up.

"Daddy! Grandma wanted me to ask if I can spend the night with her tomorrow night!" She said.

"I'm fine with it if Grandma is." She pulled out her phone to text Lisa my answer.

"When are we going back home?" She asked.

"Oh no. We aren't going back. We're moving somewhere else." I said.

"Colby... I think that's a little extreme if it was a friend who did it."

"No I just started thinking. I've lived there for so long its just a matter if time till fans start finding that apartment. So I want to move somewhere else. Also I feel that apartment is getting small." I told him. He just shrugged.

"Okay. If its what you want we can start searching soon." Sam said. Brinlee ended up moving to the other bed before we started watching movies & ordered some pizza. Not long after we ate Brinlee was asleep. Sam & I were talking quietly cuddled on the bed.

Sam's POV

Colby had looked really sexy this morning. I keep seeing the image of him sitting on my lap over & over again.

"Sam?" I heard Colby whisper in my ear snapping me out my thoughts.

"Huh?" I asked quietly.

"You were zoned out. I was making sure you were okay." He said. I smashed my lips onto his as soon as he finished talking. He kissed back roughly letting out a tiny moan that was muffled by the kiss. I pulled him onto the lap. I took off our shirts & was about to remove Colby's sweats before he pulled away. He put a hand on my chest trying to catch his breath.

"We can't Sam. I love you so much but we can't. Brinlee is literally right there. I wouldn't be able to." He whispered.

"How about tomorrow while she's at Lisa's?" I asked making him think.

"Are you sure?" He asked moving off my lap.

"I fucking love you Colby. I want all of you." I said before I started kissing his jawline & neck. He leaned his head to the side giving me more room while I kissed & bit at his neck.

"You can have me tomorrow night." My face lit up.

"Are you sure that's what you want?" I asked making sure. He nodded.

"I'm sure." He said pecking my lips. We then cuddled & went to sleep.

~The Next Morning~

I woke up to Brinlee jumping on the bed. I chuckled slightly & pulled Colby closer to me. He snuggled his face into my face.

"Brinlee can you stop jumping please?" I asked her. She fell onto her knees.

"Grandma should be here any minute! I've been trying to wake you guys up forever." She said. Colby sighed sitting up.

"Are you dressed?" He asked her.

"Yeah but I'm not aloud to open the door the door when she gets here & I can't find my hair brush." I shook my head walking in the bathroom.

"Do you mean this hair brush?" I asked stepping back out of the bathroom. She ran over to me grabbing the hair brush.

"Thank you Sam!" She said brushing her hair. There was then a knock on the hotel room door. Colby walked over to it & opened it.

"Hey Lisa." He said giving her a small hug & letting her in. "Sorry Sam & I just woke up." He chuckled.

"Its no problem. Just wanted to pick her up. Give you two some alone time." She winked & Colby went red rubbing the back of his neck.

"Alright Brin I'll see you tomorrow okay?" He said walking over to Brinlee & hugging her & kissing her head. She ran over to me & hugged me.

"See you later kiddo." I said. She ran to Lisa & said a quick love you before they left. Almost as soon as the door shut I pinned Colby to the wall.

"A little eager are we?" He joked.

"You have no idea." I growled in his ear.
