I immediately change my clothes when I got the message from Harvey. I texted Renjun for his address and put on my shoes.

I quietly left the house, not wanting to wake my parents out but left a note instead.

The things we do for a close friend.

I run to the address Renjun told me and I try to catch my breath, stopping in front of the house with the lights on from inside.

I knocked on the door and it opened, revealing Jeno. He let me in and I walk to the living room, seeing y/n look so weak and vulnerable.

"I came here as fast as I can. What happened?" I asked and look at y/n who is being comforted by Jaemin and Harvey.

"She was close to being raped by her ex or that was what I saw." He said and I could feel anger boiling inside me of already.

"He's ready to accept these fists of mine," Jeno said, anger and seriousness in his voice.

"Y/n, are you sure that you're really okay? He basically made it more traumatizing for you." Jisung sits in front of her.

"Yeah.. I don't think I want to go to campus tomorrow... or later.." She said and we look at the clock, seeing that it's already past 12 am.

"You don't have to go. We can always stay here for you." Harvey said and y/n smiled softly.

"Seriously though, I can't go. I have to babysit Renjun's baby cousin." She said with a tint of joy in her voice.

This made us sigh in relief that she's better now.

"But I don't think that I'll be moving on from this trauma soon." She said, her hand becoming fist and I noticed tears forming in her eyes.

"I feel like instead of disappearing, it grew even bigger." She said and I walked towards her. Jisung moves when he saw me.

"Hey, Little One. It's okay to feel this way. If I were in your place, I would feel the same." I kneel down in front of her and hold her hand.

"If you ever feel this way, tell me, tell us. It's okay. We're also here for you, okay, Angel?" I said and she smiled, holding my hand tighter.

"Okay," She said and I pat her head.

"You guys can stay here for the night. I don't mind." Renjun said and we thanked him.

It was 3 am when I wake up. I hate waking up in the middle of the night.

I saw a door open and take a peek. I saw y/n sleeping on a couch in the baby's room.

I entered the room and saw a blanket on the other side of the couch. I unfold it and cover her with the blanket.

I sit in front of her and hold her hand. I caress her hair softly before I smiled at how peaceful she looks.

"I believe that you'll reject me if I tell you honestly but honestly, I'm scared as well of hurting you," I said, trying not to wake her up.

I kiss her hand before sighing and look at her for the last time.

"I'll protect you," I said before leaving the room but stopped when I saw him in front of me.

"You have feelings for y/n?" He asked and I sighed.

"Not sure about it yet. Trying to find out." I said, quietly closing the door behind me.

"She is still traumatized. Do you think liking her at this time is a good time?" He said, looking away and I shake my head.

"Of course, it's a bad timing. I'm pretty sure that if I tell her, she'll straight up reject me." I said, still looking at him.

"But she's your first love, _______. You just used that girl to move on from y/n because you know she had a boyfriend that time but you ended up falling for that girl instead." He said, looking at me in the eye.

"I became too focused on focusing on her that I end up forgetting about y/n. Anyway, it's not like she knew me before. She barely even recognized me when we first met.

I can't tell her who I am because I was the 'oh, so goody two shoes who is also a nerd' boy back in high school." I said, rolling my eyes.

"Listen, y/n also became a very dear friend of mine. I don't have feelings for her and apparently, your feelings for her is coming back.

I don't want y/n to get hurt even if she is traumatized from her past relationship." He said but I only groaned.

"But that's exactly what holds me back. She's traumatized, I'm terribly scared. We're both hurt and we both don't want to get hurt again." I said but he only sighed and glared at me.

"You've been liking her since high school, used a girl to move on and ended up falling for her yet you still keep on rambling how you wanted to be friends with her.

And when you got into UNI, you heard that they broke up and you completely forgot about y/n when she needed someone the most.

Imagine how hurt y/n will be when she hears this." He cleared but I lean back on the door, imagining it but it ended up going somewhere else I don't want to see.

"She had Jeongin."

"But that what made her fall for him."

"So, are you saying that if I was in Jeongin's spot, the same thing would happen?" I said but he kept quiet.

"Not all people will feel the same because it happened on one person," I said, walking away from him.

"There's a possibility."

"Like she will ever accept me."
