I have no idea what time it is but...Now. I find myself awake barely holding myself up under the covers, staring at a certain drunk, babbling blond man who wasn't present for the whole Albania Croatia incident. And now I know it's because he drank himself stupid...Who would've guessed...
It was odd seeing this giant man sitting on the ground, leaning his head on the bed and hiccuping. He seemed so sad for some reason, but that tint of alcohol on his face might've said otherwise. "I need help....I...I ran out of beer and—" Slovenia sniffled before taking in sharp, uneven breathes. "Go on, what happened."I sighed at his behavior. I might as well roll along with it.
"And...I was just thinking about Ljubljana—Oh...it's so beautiful...B-bu...but people are scared to come!"He started to sob gently into the sheets, making me sit up and scoot closer to the edge of the bed. "Well, why are people scared? Is it the cultural shock?"
Slovenia shook his head frantically before suddenly grabbing my legs, looking up at me with watery eyes."My neighbors they...They lump me in with them! You know this I told you I...Waaaah! I'm doing so much good stuff but the media doesn't want to even report on it and...and it's really stressful for me since I'm in the EU and all of the other members probably talk behind my back because I'm just some DUMB EASTERN EUROPEAN TRASH that is less than off of them—W-well it's not MY fault I was placed over here in an ethnic war zone between siblings, I just want to be more environmentally friendly like Germany or...or...or just go skiing like Switzerland....Or...Or be kind and liked by other nations like you but....I just....NoooooOOOO!"
Listening to the drunken male complain about his family made me feel for him a little bit. Not having any family myself is hard but...he seems really unhappy with the way his family acts... "Tell me this Slovenia, did you tell your siblings about this? Or do you not say anything?"
Slovenia paused and mumbled something into my leg, making me blink rapidly for a moment. His breath was hot as his lips moved but just a little but I couldn't tell what he was mouthing out, but not to mention how extremely embarrassing it was to have the guy's head laying in my lap already, I pulled the plug on it, picking his head up by this blond locks. "Ow ow ow let gooo! Your thighs are comfy I'm sorry I'm just tired! Ahaha!"He whined, only causing the blush on my face to deepen.
Deep breaths...he's drunk that's all, he's just drunk...and when you are drunk you can say everything without the fear of embarrassment...So I let his hair go and he was just staring up at me with that melancholic look on his face. "No...I'm scared...I can't tell them anything because....B-be...Serbia..."
Oh no...another thing pegged on Serbia—"What's Serbia got to do with it?" "He'll get sooooo angry at me!!"He Said with a whine, shaking a little. "He'll...he'll probably yell at me and say that it's just the culture and that he can't help it...Oooh...."Slovenia was a whole mess over hypothetical scenarios. Anxiety must be quite the bitch...or maybe it's just him overthinking.
"Slovenia..."I Said his name quietly, as he was currently trying to cover his face with his hair, the tear stains appearing on his palish face. "Nooo...." "Listen to me." "Nooooo....." "I'm not your mother Slovenia, take my advice or leave it." I snapped at him a little on instinct as he looked at me in shock, his lip trembling. "Why'd you have to mention my mother...y...you...you know I—"He bursted into tears right there and then, burying his face into the bed now to ball his eyes out.
"You know I never knew her like that! MAMA!"He wailed as I have soothing rubs to the back of his head until he finished. Now thinking about it I shouldn't have mentioned his mother...I learned that only Croatia and Serbia were really close to her...and with Slovenia being one of the younger members of the family...
