Chapter 13: Suspicions

Naruto and his team were at the place they are staying at in konoha. They have one more week to stay in konoha.

"Something... you need to know?" Kaito asked as he sat down on his bed

Naruto nods and lays down on his bed while kari makes herself some cup noodles.

"And what's that?" Kaito asks

"I'm not yet sure... and I don't want it to be suspicious.." naruto says

"I think it already is... I mean... with you suddenly inviting them and all..." Kaito says

Naruto pouts "hmm... really?... whoops..". Kaito just sighs.

The next day. Naruto and his teammates got up. They woke up the sand siblings. All of the foreigners participating in the exams were staying in one building.

While the sand nins were talking about where to go. Rina came out of the room her and her teammates were staying at. She saw the sand nins. "Oh shit.." she muttered with a sigh. She walked past them.

"Hey.." naruto called out to her. She stopped and turned around "me?.." she asked

"Yeah.." naruto says "I.. I never got your name." Naruto adds

"... it's Rina.." she says with a small smile.

Naruto nods "Naruto.." he says, she nods as well and continues walking. While walking she was thinking 'hmm.. I don't see anything suspicious about them... more like they're suspicious of us..'

She went to a small convenient store to grab some food.

Meanwhile with naruto. They finally decided to eat at Ichiraku's after a long while of convincing.

"Hmph... I wanted to eat barbecue..." Akari says. Naruto smiles cheekily "hehehe!.."

They soon arrived at Ichiraku's and ordered then began eating.

"Hmm... it's actually good!" Temari says

"Right!" Naruto says happily while giggling, soon they finished their food.

"Has anyone seen denji-sensei?" Akari asked

"He told me he had to do something back at sauna.." Kaito said

Naruto wasn't focusing, he looked down and kept on thinking these words to himself  'kami...kami..kami...future...kami..future....I need to get close on them as soon as possible...' he then looked at his teammates. "Hey... do you guys think I should ask them straight on?... like I'm just curious?... or should I earn their trust then ask?" Naruto asked

"It depends on the situation... do we urgently need to know the info?" Kaito asked

"Well... we'll never know when we need it..." naruto says still not completely telling the, what he witnessed.

"I think I play safe... we should earn their trust first... I mean if we ask them straight on.
. They might lie.. right?" Akari said, the rest nods with her. The sand siblings just stare at them confused "what's happening?... and who are you guys talking about?" Kankuro asked

"Ah... hehehe well I'm not particularly sure yet... so I'm not telling anyone much yet since I might be wrong..." naruto says. Temari just nods, they head back to their places and rested.

-the next day

It was finally time for the meet up with Seph's team, naruto's team was getting dressed up and ready for the day. They headed to the meeting place, it was already 12 and Seph's team still wasn't there.

After a few minutes they showed up, naruto quickly smiled and said "what a relief!.. I thought you guys would've backed out"

Kise smiles "of course not!... we wouldn't waste this opportunity to meet other ninjas like us!.. apprenticeship is also good... and helpful I guess... I mean don't get me wrong.. it's not that I'm only doing this expecting something in return..." kise says with a small smile
