I press my ear against the door, listening into the conversation.

I close my eyes imaging it as if I were there.

It looks so real.

It felt so real.

"So you like her .. a lot." Scott breaths out.

"I don't know man. I'm only 15. Brooke is different .. Really different. But Kayla, she can make me smile just by being in front of me. And when she cries I still think she looks beautiful. But with Brooke again .. I think she looks horrifying when she cries, she scares me. And when she's around I wanna puke." Liam explains gazing up at the ceiling.

"Liam." Scott chuckles.

"You love Kayla."

my heart immediately drops to the point that I didn't even think It was beating.

"I would never have the guts to even tell her I like her." He fiddles with his fingers.

"Well .. I don't know what you want me to tell you there. Only you can do it." Scott whispers patting his muscular tense back.

Woof.

Snap out of it Kayla!

"I'm going to go check on her. Talk to her for a while." Liam stands up.

I come back stumbling back wards.

I immediately jump into bed getting under the covers.

I turn the lights off making it seem like I was asleep.

"Kayla.." I heard a low whisper as the door spreads open.

The clicking of his shoes against my hard wood floor.

He nears me sitting down by me, caressing my cheek.

I was asleep.

"I can't believe I would ever make you cry .. I guess what I'm trying to say is .. I'm sorry .. God I'm bad at this." His whisper was sincere.

It got me thinking.

I love him.

Mom, help me.

I felt his fingers slowly plunge away from my face, the amazing feeling fading.

It's going to take time.

take time to face that Robin and I belong together, not me and Liam.

Everything has to go how it's suppose.

Not the way I want it to happen.

I slowly hear my door creek close. the overwhelming feeling of tears washing over me like an Icy river.

It was that week of the year.

Ice Cream week.

"Kayla you're not doing too .. 'Good'." Melissa's voice lectures me.

"What do you mean?! It's only been what a month and a half. They wouldn't know shi--" she cut me off before I could finish the words my mother wouldn't ever even let me say to my friends.
