the first day

Ella's POV
I actually don't know what happened the rest of that night, nothing interesting. Kyle went home after 3 hours of binge watching 'Friends' it was mine and Joey's favourite show.
I struggled to get out of bed that morning, not knowing what this new girl was like, I have social anxiety so I hope she talks more than I do.
I don't think Kacey will like her, she never did like Elizabeth (Avery's older sister who transferred to Middletown last year) because she's so pretty and even though she was 2 years older, she still felt threatened by her.

Avery's POV
New day, New school, moving into the same school as your bestfriend can't be that bad.
Kyle didn't think I'd be in the same classes as Lexi so he asked his friends sister to hang out with me.
I wanted to fit in, so I threw on a pair of fishnet tights underneath my blue ripped jeans with a white shirt tucked into them. It was kind of my thing, the white shirt and the ripped jeans.
California girls seemed to wear fishnets with everything, well people did at my old school.
Lexi was ready before me, I decided on a little bit of makeup and loose curls in my hair.
I hear a buzz as I let loose the last curl on my hair, the buzz was a phone call.
It was Lexi, i clicked the green button and put the phone to my ear.
"hey ave, you excited for your first day?"
"more nervous than excited." I replied with a little laugh on the end.
"you'll be fine, not to mention how excited the boys will be, hopefully standing next to you I'll get Joey's attention, anyways i'm coming now, see you in a bit."
She ended the call and before I knew it she was knocking on my front door.
i opened the door, throwing my backpack over my shoulder and shouting Goodbye to my family members.

Lexi's POV
Avery looked nervous, the most nervous I'd ever seen her.
We were both wearing near enough the exact same thing.
We approached school, greeted by Ella, Kacey and Ella's older brother Joey. Joey took immediate eyes to Avery as he stepped in and said,
"Hi, I'm Joey, nice to meet you, if you need anything, I can help you." As he stuck his hand out to shake hers.
Joey was never like this, never this friendly he always seems to be getting into fights with new people, so i karate chopped his hand to fall back and said "I'm here to help her."

Avery's POV
Joey was nice, he seemed nice anyway. Lexi seemed to like him, I see why. He's good looking, just not my type.
WOW.
His friend approached us with a cute smile on his face, he had brown mousey hair and a tall, slim, masculine body. HE was my type.
"Hey joe." He said with a smile on his face.
my eyes broadened to the sight of him and lexi nudged me.
He was talking to me, TO ME.
"hi, i'm johnny." i stayed silent, still shocked.
Lexi had to nudge me again so i could get my words out.
"Uh hi.. i'm Avery." I said, less nervous than I was before.
Me and Lexi walked off with Johnny and Joey to meet the other boys, we came close to Kyle who was standing with 3 other boys, Ethan, Charles and Matt.
Matt kept winking at me, I thought he was dating Ella, or was that Charles? I don't know, too many relationships and crushes around here.
The bell rung for registration, me and Lexi weren't together, sadly.
I walked in to see a class full of people I didn't know, new people who I hadn't seen.
I sat down at the back, on my own to see Johnny walk in with Matt.
Johnny sat down next to me, to my surprise and left Matt on his own.
"What have you got first period?" He asked.
"Math." I replied.
"Guess we're in all the same lessons then, and with Matt too."
