"Guys, have you seen Hails?" Inquire Phil who believes that he hadn't seen her at all.

Jim: "Ohh yeah right i haven't seen her too, where's she?"
Stephan: "I dunno, probably with Dane"
Rebecca: "Ain't this Dane over there?"
Phil: "Fakk, he looks so weak, I'ma go help him bro"

Phil approches Dane and gives him a shoulder to hang on,

"What happened to you mate! where's Hails and where have you been whole afternoon!?" Phil asked with tension stuck on his face.

Dane: "What do you mean? Where's she? Did she not come back?"
Phil: "Everyone thought that she was out with you? Where's she then?"
Dane: "Shit, I fucked up"
Phil: "what did you do?"
Dane: "I made her believe that I moved on with someone else and I saw how hurt she was when I lied to her"
Phil: "You didn't do right, she was on the verge of accepting you the way she dropped signs lately, how the fuck could you be so blind?"
Dane: "I dunno man, all I know is... I fucked up"
Phil: "You did... for now don't talk about that to anyone else, or you're gonna get killed, specially not to Stephan"
Dane: "Hailie?"
Phil: "Don't worry, I'm going to look for her, for now go join the others"

Joe: "So.... how was it with Hails at sunset?"
Dane: "It was good"
Joe: "Yeah I know, looks so, you guys haven't slept after the bath"
Stephan: "What do you mean by sunset, where were they?"
Joe: "Duhhhh babe, I forgot to tell you, Hails told me that she wanted to go with Dane for a walk and finally confess that she loves him"
Jim: "That's great news!!"

At that very moment desolation pervaded him as he found out that what he wanted for years was finally about to happen but he messed it up. His heart ached crying out for Hailie and he left the team instantly to look for her.

Jim: "Where did he go?"
Joe: "I dunno"
Stephan: "I feel like something's wrong"
Rebecca: "Where's phil?"
Joe: "And Hails?"
Stephan: "I think we needa look for em now"
Stanley: "Let's go"

Hailie opens her eyes and realises that she had been here for hours, she dosed off after all the murdering thoughts she had had. She lays on the rocky path and gaze at the stars, waking up with pain in her whole body due to the stress that overwhelmed her earlier, she wished this was a nightmare but it wasn't...

She recalls all the time Dane had got close to her and she regrets everytime she pushed him away and refused him, even though she loved him so much, she did not want to get hurt and always expected Dane to give up on her at a point, and he did...
Her tears fall from either sides of her eyes and she still chooses to explore the thoughts more,

"It's not true that people would stay stuck on their promises forever, promises are meant to be broken, the biggest mistake one can ever do is to expect things back,

People say that others tend to break your heart, but the truth is nobody other than yourself break you in pieces by expecting from others, falling in love is just a fantasy that everyone wants to try, but handling it is the most important thing, if only one person holds on to it and tries to make it work, it will scatter.

If two people are meant to be they will be and if they want it to work, they will try their best, they will put aside their ego if they have to give up on things just to make sure the love of their life ain't uncomfortable to it, they would wait for them no matter how long it takes, they wouldn't be talking about others when they know it's going to hurt their partner.

Dane was there for me no matter what, he always willed to holder responsibilities for us, but just like a leaf he got blown away, I was the one who destroyed everything with my hands, we could have had literally everything till the limitless sky, but if it wasn't meant to be, it wouldn't, he was probably not the one for me...

I wish you were here by my side right now, for once I would hug you tightly and never let go of you telling you how much you mean to me, but you left..."

She whimpered to herself through the night,

About to confess your love and that person informs you about their meeting with someone else.

The night fading away slowly and Hailie lays there still grieving at her lost when,

"I'M JUST HURTING MYSELF WHEN I SHOULD JUST FUCK EVERYTHING" She yells throwing a pebble in the water.

"You don't have to fuck everything, you just have to kill your expectations" Came a voice from behind.

Before she could turn around, Phil showed up next to her,

"Hey beautiful" Phil highlights in an attempt to make her smile.

Hailie fix herself right trying to cover up her pain.

"What are you doing here?" She asks without looking at Phil and wipes a tear off.

"Hails, we all know you, and I know what happened. You don't have to cover up, I know he fucked up, I met with him earlier and he told me." Phil disclose.

"He must've been so fine, afterall he might... be ad..miring his new... crush" Her voice cracked in grief.

Unable to hold it anymore, Hailie starts sobbing and she burst into tears accepting the comfort of Phil who laid out his arms for her.

"Shhhhh, Hails shhhhhh" He comforted while patting her back.

"I'm sorr..ryy..yy...yyyy Daaane" She blurts out as more tears stained the shirt of Phil.

This went on for a while until Hailie placed her head on his shoulder.

"I honestly thought he loved me and he's gonna give me my time" She said with regret.

"He did love you, but he was just not worth you Hails, you're beautiful, amazing, courageous and capable of doing anything, trust me you're worth more than what you think, It would've been nice if you could just give someone else his chance, like, he was so lucky and he rejected you" He assured.

"Phil I dunno, maybe Im... just..."

Her tears started falling off again but this time Phil wipes them off and places a thumb on her cheek, caressing it.

He leaned in and his lips touched hers, she didn't repel and allowed the kiss.

He pulled away and guilt took over him right away,

"You fucking bastard, and you call yourself a bestfriend!"

Dane had arrived at the moment when they were kissing each other. Phil realised it and stood up with Hailie. He walked foward to explain to Dane but the latter was so much overtaken by anger that he shoved him off mercilessly which made Phil fall on the ground and his head to hit a rock. His injury was not as deep as the rage that fumed from him.
He got back up and thrust Dane backwards causing him to hit a tree, the latter punched him back in the eye and choked him with a hand,

"YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD CREATE A RIFT BETWEEN HAILS AND I?!? THIS IS WHY YOU CAME HERE YOU CUNT"

"DANE!!, FUCKING GET OFF OF HIM....

I SAID GET OFF MOTHERF*CKER!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.

"No I won't, he tried to separate us!" He refused.

"NO DANE, HE DIDN'T... You were the one who separated us, you were the one who broke me, I was about to give you a chance but thank godddd, you showed yourself before I could. Why are you here now!? Why don't you go to your Jannet and leave us the fuck alone? You fucked up as much as you could, now just fucking leaveeee for God's sake"

Bit by bit, Dane increases his steps backward ready to vanish in the dark.
He knew he fucked up and he shouldn't even be there to explain anything. Misery invaded him when he saw her kissing his bestfriend, but he deserved it and he knows it very well...
