It was a beautiful day in some woods, miles away from the prison, as Andrea filled up a bottle of water from the river. She'd left Merle to go do what he did best. Get some food before they had to continue their journey to looking for Philip. It had been months of searching, but they still hadn't found him yet. They were resilient, though. They wouldn't give up until he was found and dealt with. Philip had done too much damage for Andrea to forgive. They both wanted revenge for everything he'd done, as well as everything he'd tried to do. He was a monster. With him gone, walkers or not, it would make the world safer.

She finished filling up her bottle, and put it in her bag. Then she got to her feet to go find Merle, knife in hand, just in case, gun in its holster. She'd quickly learned in this world to always be prepared. Being prepared she'd learned, meant that you'd survive, instead of getting yourself killed for not being prepared.

Meanwhile, Merle had just hunted down a deer, had skinned it, and was cooking it at their camp they'd made. Now, he was waiting for Andrea to return.

Andrea was heading away from the river, on her way to meet up with Merle, when there was a very familiar sound. It was that of more than one walker. When she heard that, she became more cautious, looking around for walkers, as she silently walked.

About ten minutes later, she saw some walkers. There were about ten of them. Seeing them, she hid behind a tree, not far from a bank that sloped down a little, and waited for them to pass. She knew that hiding and silence would keep them from being on her trail. She could take down a few, but a small horde of ten were too many.

As she looked at the horde from behind the tree, she saw Philip. He'd managed to go around a few, untouched, and get on top of a white box container. She knew he was looking for her and Merle. Knowing Philip was there, she made herself scarce behind the tree, making sure to not be seen or heard.

After a while of waiting for her to return, Merle heard the sound of walkers, though he liked to refer to them as biters. Hearing what sounded like them, he grabbed his crossbow and knife, putting the knife in its holster, his gun already in its holster, and went towards the sounds. Since Andrea was out there, he wanted to make sure the walkers stayed away from her. He didn't want anything to happen to her. Although he'd been a jerk all those years ago, he'd always had a thing for her. He never acted though, since she hated him back then. Now though, things had changed.

When Merle saw the small horde of walkers, he also saw Philip. He maneuvered around walkers, killing any that tried to get close to him, and went in search of Andrea, whom he soon found behind a tree. He knew that this was their chance to kill him for everything, but they had a slight obstacle of walkers in their way. There was only one way right now that they could kill him. He'd have to use his crossbow. He had to make sure that Philip didn't see it coming, though.

When Philip got off the container, deciding to go elsewhere in search of them, not seeing them apparently, Merle took his aim with his crossbow. He aimed it at his head, aiming it at Philip's one good eye, when Philip was distracted for a few minutes by a walker. Merle hit the target, killing him, and the walker began to eat Philip. For good measure, making sure he didn't come back as a walker, he shot him in the head again. Then he lowered the crossbow.

"Let's get out of here, sweet cheeks," Merle commented, and she agreed with him. With Philip gone, Andrea knew she was finally free of the guy that had tried to do such bad things to her, trying to control her. There was a reason she liked Merle better, and now, she and Merle were in love. After so long of spending time together, one thing had led to another, and they'd fallen in love.

Once back at camp, after Merle and Andrea had eaten what he'd cooked, which the walkers thankfully hadn't gotten at while they'd been gone, they packed up and left camp, heading for the car that was parked on the side of the road, not that far away from the woods.

About a month later, Merle and Andrea found a sturdy, big house, which they made for themselves. So, they lived as happily as they could. After all, it was still an apocalypse.
