For a while, after finding and fitting into Alexandria, a supposed-to-be safe community, it wasn't long before they were overrun by walkers, yet again. They managed to fight their way through, but very few of them survived the fight. And, once again, they had to leave and find a new place to hold up in.
A while later, they found a new place that looked like it had once been a community, but it was abandoned. So, because it was abandoned and looked to be a strong enough place to hold up in, they finally found themselves a new home, after several miles of having to watch their backs for walkers and other dangers.
