Chapter 5: What Does That Mean?

*Oleg's point of view, same day, 7:58 pm*

After an hour of Officer L/n calming down Mrs Mitchels, the car ride back to the station with Mr Mitchels and almost 8 hours of Officer L/n filling out  her paperwork, it was time for her to go home.

"Officer L/n, you better not be leaving without saying goodbye to your twin brother!" Detective Reed says from behind her as she finishes packing away some more paperwork she has to fill out into her bag.

"Oh come on! I haven't ever left without saying goodbye! Why would I start now?" She asks back as she turns to face her brother. "Because you hate me." Detective Reed says as he pulls her into a quick hug.

"Don't ever forget that." She says sarcastically as she returns his hug. "I'll see you tomorrow." She says as she grabs her bag and turns back to face Detective Reed. "See you tomorrow." Detective Reed says as he and my predecessor, also known as Nines, leave the precinct.

"Are you ready to leave, Officer L/n?" I ask from her left, causing her to turn to look at me. "Please tell me that you're staying here?" She asks with a pleading look, obviously forgetting that one of my main missions is to care for her.

"I cannot tell you that, Officer." I say, hoping 'Hoping?' not to upset her. 'Wh- Why would I-.. why would I care if I upset her?' I question myself. 

"Great, just great!" She says out loud as I return my focus to her. "If you're worried about how Alex will react, don't. Not until you see how he reacts." I say, remembering the fact that she has a boyfriend.

"I wasn't until you said that." She says with a sigh. "Come on, let's just get back to my place." She finishes as she heads towards the door to leave. "Of course, Officer L/-" "My name is Y/n, please use it." She says cutting me off.

"Of course.. Y/n." I say uncertainly as we leave the precinct and start walking towards the garage where her personal car must be parked. "Thank you! Finally." She says as she registers me calling her by her first name.

*Y/n ^^* 'What does that mean?' I question as I see the notification appear in the corner of my eyesight.

"Hey, uhh, can I ask you something?" I hear Offi-... Y/n ask uncertainly as we walk towards the garage. "Of course. What is it?" I answer simply.

"Are you deviant? I know that most androids are supposed to be deviant before they are released thanks to the deviant revolution 3 years ago, but you sound and act so... android-like." Y/n asks as we enter the garage and start walking towards her car.

"I-... I suppose I am, but I've been trained by CyberLife in different subjects and being a detective android is one of the subjects that I stood above in then all else. So I suppose the reason why I don't act or speak like other deviants is because I wasn't around any when I was trained." I answer uncertainly as I remember going through all the testing they had me do.

"That's.... well I guess that's like a different sort of program that CyberLife has made up for androids to be more like the androids they were before the revolution." She says as we arrive at her car.

"Do you feel any emotions or did they train you not to as well?" She asks again as she unlocks the car for us to get in. "I guess they did." Is all I say as an answer as she select the route to go home.

*Time Skip*

"Alex? I'm home." Y/n says obviously scared of her boyfriend. From what she told me in the car on our way here, he technically has no real reason to hate us, he just does.

'Why did she want to be with him? Was there something in his personality that sparked her interest? Why am I so captured by her kindness and personality? Wait what!?' I think to myself as move the tiniest bit closer to her.
