Choices (pt2)

"Peter?" May looked at her nephew for a second before wrapping her hands around him. Peter returned the hug the best he could but a small sound of protest escaped his lips against his will. May quickly let go but still was griping tightly to Peter's hand.
"I'm so sorry Pete did I hurt you?" May still had a huge lump in her throat but was trying to stay strong the best she could.
" A little" Peter managed to squeeze out "but it's okay I really needed a hug anyway."
"Do you remember what happened?"
"I think so but how bad am I hurt?" Peter asked concurred
"Pretty badly you have a broken arm and you have a really bad concussion and a couple broken ribs."
"That explains why it hurts to breath" Peter tried to chuckle
"The doctor says that he thinks you also broke your back but your speed healing helped it but you might have trouble walking for a bit."
"Wait the doctor knows about my speed healing?" Peter asked shocked.
"Don't worry Pete we're in the avengers med bay or a least their back up one I didn't tell anyone" May reassured her nephew.
Peter let out a sigh of relief followed by a small scream of pain.
"No deep breaths got it."  Peter followed up
May let out a small chuckle well still maintain a worried look it was clear a million thoughts were swarming around in her head.

"Oh I almost forgot I should call Ned and MJ and tell them you are alright they were pretty worried about you."
Peter wanted to be excited that his friends might come visit him but he could feel his eye lids get heavy as he slowly realized just how exhausted he was. So he ended up just responded "M'kay I'm gonna go to sleep now I'm tired."
"Of course sweetie just tell me when you feel like your up for visitors I think Ned has some presents for you. Sweet dreams." May placed a kiss on her nephews forehead before retreating to the arm chair in the corner of the room for some much needed rest of her own.

Needless to say the next day was chaotic with everyone wanting to see Peter ranging from Shuri to Flash oddly enough. Of course Flash got the slightly altered version of the story the same story that was told to Peter's school and the rest of his classmates along with the local news. That Peter was one of the unlucky few who couldn't make it out in time before Spider-Man could no longer hold up the building. Luckily though he was far enough out so he was only hit with a couple pieces of debri(I don't think that's how you spell it Someone please correct me in the comments) and is expected to make a full recovery soon. Unknown to everyone was that Peter's first plan for when he got better was to give the people who didn't get out in time a personal visit from Spider-man to apologies and maybe lift their spirits a little.

First though he had to focus on getting better himself and maybe a little visit from Ned or MJ could help. So he told May that he was up for a few visitors that day the first was of course to be his two best friends. The pair came barreling into the room giving their friend a huge group hug. Ned was the first to speak which was normal since he was the more talkative of the two. "Dude don't you ever do that again you scared me to death."
"You know he's going to right it's Peter we're talking about here." MJ replied.
Peter nodded in agreement but then added "but I will try my best I'm really sorry I scared you guys like that."
MJ was the one who spoke up first saying "it's ok we know you were trying to save as many people as you could we're just glad your okay."
Peter gave a soft smile to her in response before Ned spoke up.
"Oh I almost forgot I have something for you!" He pulled out a binder with large letters on it. "To Spider-Man From Your #1 Fan Club".
Ned put the binder in Peter's lap and Peter slowly turned the red cover open to find pages and pages and letters and drawings as well as printed out links to people's YouTube videos.

Peter read through a few of them scared of what he might find.

"I know you probably get this a lot but you saved my life and I just really hope you know I am eternity great full. I hope when day I can pay you back maybe meet you in person and thank you if I am lucky."

"I am a huge fan! I just wanted to let you know you are my hero!"

To: Spider-Man
From: Uatu Jackson
"I hope you get this because I want you to know how many people you helped not just that day but everyday since you started swinging around the streets of Queens I hope I see you swinging around them again some day,"

To: Spider-Man
From: Bobbi Morse
"Hey I just wanted to check and see if you were ok. You're a lot of people's hero and they can't wait for you to get back to crime fighting. But I think it can be kinda hard to remember you are just a human being. Or a least I think you are. I just wanted to let you know people will understand if you need a break. There will still be old ladies to help with directions when you get back. Get well soon!"

There were plenty of other letters like the ones from Flash and Betty as well as a Harry Osborn and of course Ned and MJ. As Peter read through the letters tears welled up in his eyes and though it would take a while he knew he was gonna be okay. He didn't have to be the next iron man he was helping people and that was enough.

I don't know how to end this but someone asked for a part 2 so. Also I am thinking Of doing a super short part 3 where Morgan and Pepper come to the hospital I was gonna put it in this part but got lazy. So let me know if you want that.
