AFTER the disaster of a date with Yeosang, Sol thinks she needs some time to recover. She'd managed to let the boy down easy, and thankfully, he was still keen to remain friends after she made it explicitly clear that she didn't think that things would work out between them. And unlike the rest of the boys Sol has needed to let down easy, Yeosang sends her another text two days later about a new song from one of the bands they both like. Sol thinks that this friendship might actually be a good thing.

But despite yet another disaster to be added to Sohee's list of terrible date candidates, somehow she manages to find someone else for Sol to go on a date with. It took her best friend two weeks to find a guy and set Sol up on a date, and Sol doesn't know how to feel about the whole thing, because she knows absolutely nothing about this guy, and Sohee's decided to keep her mouth shut about him, wiggling her eyebrows every time Sol tries to ask her about it. Not even Sohee's boyfriend Jisung speaks a word about it whenever he comes over and drapes himself over the smaller girl. Sol is torn between cooing at the pair and excusing herself to go and vomit.

She eventually decides on the latter when the pair start kissing against the fridge in Sohee's kitchen. Don't get Sol wrong, she's extremely happy for the pair and even before they began dating six months ago their relationship had been a long time coming. Sol was the one who had to sit through Sohee's ridiculous pining. She just wishes they wouldn't start kissing in front of her. It does nothing but remind her of how tragically single Sol is, and if Sohee ever heard that she'd never let her hear the end of it.

Sol spends the next forty minutes going through the various outfits that Sohee pulls from her wardrobe and attempts to force onto her best friend. Sol loses track of how many outfit combinations she puts on, letting Sohee pace her bedroom and assess each and every outfit. Sohee even goes to ask for Jisung's opinion, and because the boy is nothing if not whipped for Sol's best friend, he compliments every single one of the outfits that Sohee put together, if only to see her smile. Sol would honestly find the whole thing endearingly sweet if it weren't at her expense.

"He'll be here to pick you up soon," Sohee reminds her as she finishes up Sol's makeup (with waterproof mascara this time, Sol notices).

"Why did you tell him to come pick me up from your house?"

"I figured it was best not to take any chances with your rogue sprinklers," Sohee says as she lets her boyfriend drape himself around her. Sol sighs, exasperated, before she marches into the bathroom to check her reflection in the mirror and make sure her best friend hasn't turned her into a clown.

"Are you going to tell me where we're going?" Sol asks when she comes back, finding Sohee in the same position she left her in.

       "A basketball game."
