"And now it is my pleasure to introduce Mr. and Mrs. Palladio, and their first dance as husband and wife." The DJ announced, pressing a button as the two newlyweds stepped onto the makeshift dance floor. The air was pleasantly warm on that rooftop as they slowly spun to the soft voice of Norah Jones covering 'Love Me Tender'. The parents of the bride sat with the parents of the groom, all watching their children share their love with the world. As the song ended, applause erupted. (Y/n) clapped, looking as Tony stood and offered her his hand. She looked at it quizzically.
"Isn't it time for your 'father, daughter' dance?" She questioned. He just shook his head and continued holding his hand to her. She hesitantly took it as the DJ announced the next dance.
"Ladies and gents, the bride has requested a special dance in lieu of the normal dance she'd share with her dad." A familiar piano solo met (Y/n)'s ears as Tony led her to the floor.
I feel unhappy
I feel so sad
I lost the best friend
That I ever hadTony held her close and moved her with the rhythm and to Ozzy's voice. It had always been one of (Y/n)'s favourite Black Sabbath songs and when she left, he could never bare to listen to it.
She was my woman
I loved her so
But it's too late now
I've let her goI'm going through changes
I'm going through changes(Y/n) laid her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes as tears streamed down her cheeks and onto his white button up. She tried her best to hum along even through her crying. Tony sang quietly to her the next few verses, nuzzled in her hair.
We shared the years
We shared each day
In love together
We found a wayBut soon the world
Had its evil way
My heart was blinded
Love went astrayI'm going through changes
I'm going through changesJonas kissed Dani on the lips and then looked out at her parents. Dani was fit to burst with overwhelming elation that her mother and father were so content to be with each other once again. She'd always be thankful for the things her mother did to ensure she had everything she needed as a child, even without any help. Dani had long ago forgiven her father for abandoning her and her mother, and she wondered if things would have been this perfect even if (Y/n) hadn't have left.
It took so long
To realize
That I can still hear
Her last goodbyesNow all my days
Are filled with tears
Wish I could go back
And change these yearsI'm going through changes
I'm going through changesAs the song faded, Tony stopped (Y/n), lifting her chin and kissing her. It was a kiss that spoke all the words neither could, their first kiss in over twenty five years.
"(Y/n), I still love you. Move back to America. Move into the tower with me and I'll make up for all the lost years." He whispered, barely taking his lips off of hers. They locked eyes, chocolaty brown with clear (e/c).
"Alright." She smiled, claiming his lips as hers once more. The crowd cheered and called out congratulations as they broke apart, allowing the others to claim the dance floor. There was much eating and drinking, dancing and laughing, and love all around the reception. It was well past midnight when the party spilled into the streets below to wish Jonas and Dani a happy honeymoon as their limo pulled away, heading towards the airport. An LED sign on the back bumper strobed two words:
Just Married.
