Danny was with his family and had a little bit of knowledge about machines so with his parents watching him he walked into the machines (like in the show) and he tripped, silently cursing his clumsiness. He hit the button and screamed, the scream being heard all throughout the city. His molecules were being electrified and he was being slowly killed. But the energy from the Ghost Zone was keeping him alive, barely. His parents freaked out and checked his pulse. It was barely there, they called the police about the accident and an ambulance soon arrived....... Along with the reporters who wanted to know what happened. They just replied with "A lab accident. We'll possibly let you know more when we check on our son." A reporter yelled out "You're bad parents!" Jack turned around and yelled back to him, "We'd be bad parents if we didn't check on our son after he almost DIED!" Then they raced to their car and broke the speed limit to check on Danny. The police knew and let it pass, every other Sunday Danny would bring the cops coffee and catch up with them. He was a sweet but shy child that everyone loved. He was Danny Fenton.
