New World Academy

Introduction: Hello There!

Hey!

So I know that high school/ College AUs with characterxOC is common in just about every fandom, including One Piece.

BUT

This one is different, well I am planning on it being so. This is an idea that I have been playing around with for months, and I think I'm more than ready to start typing it and sharing it.

So what is this story going to do for you and me?

Well for me, I just want to have fun and geek out while providing some quality fanfiction. For you? Well maybe I can help you embark on a new journey into the College AU of One Piece.

So before you go into the first chapter, I'll explain something's to make things easier:

The story takes place in New World Academy, commonly called New World or NW. It is government run, in the hopes that the graduates become marines. However, there is another group of students who plan on leading a different lifestyle, that of becoming a renegade or basically pirates. These groups do stay separated most of the time, excluding a few overlapping classes. You may wonder how they can go to the same school but stay so separated, well that's because the campus is huge.

And by huge, I mean it's the size of a medium/large city. There are no dorms, but housing, where in each house is a gang/group/branch (for example: the Straw Hats would have their own house, which could have a lawn, garage, pool, etc., and the G-5 branch would have their own house in a different region).

Plus on the campus is parks and shopping center strictly for students, but why is all of this on campus? Because once you're on campus, you do not leave. Excluding summer break and once you graduate.

So that's the school, but who's the character? I have never used a One Piece OC of my own, but now's a great time to start! Biraa Kazuki! Kazuki will be the protagonist who the story will be told from. I'll explain her in the first chapter for you all. And on the topic of perspective..... I'll be writing from the second person perspective which is different. Basically it's from the "you" perspective, which is putting yourself into the character a bit. I find this way of writing much easier, since it was how I used to role-play online as well. For example: you open your eyes slowly as you wake up. All you can see is darkness, which isn't a surprise, you're in a jail cell after all. One without any windows, but it does have a light and a door that opens from the outside. Nice isn't it? You sigh and sit up and stretch. Another day of doing nothing you guess, but is that any surprise? What else are you supposed to do in this jail cell? You can't practice your powers, cause then all your hard work this past year will be fruitless. All you can do is wait Kazuki, you know your chance will come soon.

So there's a sneak-peak into the first chapter for you!
