"Why didn't you tell us?!"
Bang PD sighed at Yoongi's sudden outburst. Hoseok and Namjoon was trying to calm him, Namjoon even wanted to knock some sense to him 'cause his action could do harm to their team's position in Bang PD's eyes. But Yoongi was having none of it.
They only had two weeks before the competition, they didn't have time to adjust to the new group member if Bang PD would give them one as Seokjin's replacement. They only had two weeks to practice for the competition, they didn't have enough time.
That, and the absence of their beloved oldest hyung was something that they couldn't overcome just in a few days. Seokjin had taken a big role in their life, not just as a band member or a partner, but as a friend, the oldest of the group, the one who hold them all together even at their lowest time.
Seokjin was the one who taught them to accept Jungkook. Seokjin was the one who comfort Yoongi when he just had a breakdown and hurt the maknae, knowing that the oldest rapper didn't mean it. He was the one who took Yoongi and Jungkook to the hospital after the attack. He was the one who dealt with Jimin's insecurity and helped him to eat again. He was the one who talk to Taehyung's teacher about his fight with Jaekyun and his friends.
He was the one who prepared their breakfast, reminding them to washing up before go to sleep after practice, driving and picking Jungkook up for school, the one to stop the rapper line from overworking, the one who could put up easily with the maknae line's antics.
He was the one who took them out on a nice picnic on a beach, buying everything with his money just because he thought his band members need some rest.
He did that with all of his heart, no matter how hurtful Yoongi's words towards him, no matter how hard it was for him to hear and forget Hoseok's truthful words, no matter how Jungkook was giving him a hard time, no matter how tears Jimin had shed when he tried to help him eat, no matter how surprising the fight between Taehyung and Jaekyun, and no matter how fucked up Namjoon at being their leader.
He was more than just a partner, more than just a friend. He was their hyung.
None of them had expected they would rely on their oldest hyung as much as they did. It was a shame for realising how much you need someone when they were already gone.
"I was about to tell you today." Bang PD answered, placing his glasses on his desk. "I wasn't expecting him for leaving the dorm this soon."
"But why, PD-nim?" Namjoon spoke up before Yoongi could snap even more. "We only have a few days left for the competition. Won't it be harder for us to adjust?"
"I already prepare someone better for you." Band PD answered. "He'll be back here on the weekend 'cause he has a competition abroad. But don't worry, he's good with catching up."
"Catching up with the choreo and the song, maybe." Yoongi retorted without missing a beat. "But adjusting to our chemistry? Are you sure you he can do that?"
"Yoongi hyung-"
"I know it's a short time for you guys to adapt to the new member, it's also hard for him." The CEO answered ever so calmly, seemingly not affected by the way Yoongi talk to him. "But that's how it works. If you guys win, you will have a few months to get used to him while preparing for your debut, to build a chemistry." Band PD leaned his body towards them. "Besides, are you sure that Seokjin is ready?'
The last question stunned them.
Is Seokjin ready?
It wasn't a secret that Seokjin's dancing skill wasn't as good as the rest of the members, he too didn't have a really strong voice, even though his voice was unique.
