"You're now the part of the pre-debut group."

Seokjin widened his eyes, blinking it a few times as he tried to believe what he just heard.

"B-but why me?"

Seokjin knew it sounds stupid, who would ask such a question when they just got accepted to join a pre-debut group? But he couldn't believe it. He couldn't dance as good as the others, not to mention his fragile voice. He remembered the new talented trainee who was just joined the agency six months ago, but already won a few contemporary dance competitions.

"Don't underestimate yourself, Seokjin-ssi." Band PD told him, standing from his seat and walking around his desk, halting in front of Seokjin and leaning back onto his desk. "So, are you in?"

Seokjin blinked once, twice, thrice, then a big smiled dropped on his face. His happiness pumped inside of him and he jumped up, bowing deeply towards the CEO.

"I'm in! Thank you very much, Bang PD-nim!"

Bang PD chuckled and patted his shoulders. Seokjin pulled his body up, staring at the CEO in front of him with a big smile.

"Ah, you have to move into the dorm before seven this night. I'm gonna tell your leader." Bang PD told him. Seokjin nodded his head and bowed deeply, showing his gratefulness towards the CEO, before turning back and heading towards the practice room.

He couldn't stop the happiness that was starting to bloom inside his chest. He just did it! He's a member of the pre-debut group! He couldn't stop imagining how his parents would be proud of him and wouldn't ignore him. He was only a step away from debut, he just had to protect his position in the group and do his best on everything. He was only a step away to prove that he can be successful like his older brother without having to use his father's name and position.

When he went inside the practice room to take his bags, some of the remaining trainees were doing a battle dance. He laughed at the trainee who was having his turn to dance, before heading towards his bag.

"Seokjin hyung!"

Seokjin turned his head towards the voice, smiling at the trainee who was calling him.

"C'mon! Join us!"

Seokjin shook his head towards his friend. "I have an important thing to do."

Some of the trainees looked at him curiously, ignoring the dancing trainee for a few seconds. Seokjin slung his bag on his right shoulder, before walking towards the spot in the middle of his friends, stopping the dancing trainee for a while.

"Thanks guys." Seokjin said with a big smile. His friends looked at him in confusion. "It was such a great honour to be trained with you guys."

"What is it? A farewell?" one of the trainee said. Seokjin smiled and approached him, ruffling the boy's hair.

"Yes, it is, Taehyungie." he said with a big smile. "Do you wanna know why?"

The boy called Taehyung nodded. Seokjin gestured him to get closer, before whispering in his ear. "I'm a member of the pre-debut group."
