"So...what now?"
Seokjin sighed and leaned back on the couch. "We're still trainees, that's for sure." He answered. Silence wrapped around them again.
"You won't quit, hyung?" Jimin asked the oldest, earning a shake of the head from Seokjin.
"I'll stay here," Seokjin confirmed. "Probably 'till I figure what I wanna do for living besides being an idol."
Jimin nodded in understanding. The mood was thick and awkward, none of them knew how to break the silence. Still trying to accept reality, the next step did not come faster than they had been hoped. Debut as a group was their only dreams, now when the dream had been crushed, they were lost.
"I'll stay here too." Yoongi broke the silence, his quiet voice was loud at the silent living room. "I'm gonna try producing songs I think."
"Yeah, I remembered you got accepted to be a producer at first," Namjoon added, a small smile was on his lips. Yoongi chuckled at that.
"Yeah, that was before Bang PD lured me into a pre-debut group, saying it's a hip-hop group or some shit like that." Yoongi continued with a small smile. "He said it would be fun, but well...he forgot that I can't dance."
That managed to break a laugh from them, not as carefree and loud as they usually would, but still a laugh.
"You do great in dancing tho, hyung." Jimin complimented him. Yoongi only shrugged, but he flashed Jimin a small smile.
"How about you, Jiminnie?" Taehyung finally dared to ask. Jimin could sense the fear lying underneath the well-spoken words and he was quick to send Taehyung his smile.
"I'm still here." Jimin nodded. "I mean, still a trainee."
Jimin could see a weight being lifted from Taehyung as his best friend let his lips relaxed into a smile. "Me too."
"It'll be difficult to separate you both tho," Namjoon commented with an amused smile on his face. Taehyung and Jimin grinned before high-fiving each other.
"We're a package deal," Taehyung claimed.
"Exactly." Jimin flicked his fingers toward his best friend, agreeing with his words. Namjoon shook their head at them while Seokjin ruffled Taehyung's hair who was sitting the closest with him.
Sensing a person on the other side of him had not spoken a word, Seokjin turned his head and saw Jungkook was wobbling his lower lips with his teeth. The younger's eyes were downcast, his long bang covering his expression, but by how the younger wringing his fingers on his lap, Seokjin could tell there was something inside his mind.
"How about you, JK?" Seokjin asked. Jungkook looked up at him at the new nickname, his eyes wide and eyebrows lifted, disappeared behind his bangs. Seokjin found it cute and he could not help but smile at the sight. "Your plan?"
At the question, the room went silent once again. All eyes were on Jungkook, making the youngest squirmed on his seat uncomfortably. Jimin who was sitting on the other side of Jungkook putting his arms over the younger's shoulders.
Jungkook wobbled his lips, the words came out barely above a whisper. "I don't know."
Seokjin frowned at the answer, exchanging a glance with Jimin above Jungkook's head. "Why?" the younger of the two asked.
Jungkook shrugged. Seokjin sighed, they back to square one where Jungkook used to keep everything for himself. He glanced around, silently asking for help before turning back to Jungkook. He could not feel at ease until he knew all of their plans.
"Do you still wanna be a trainee?" Jimin asked him. They waited for an answer and had they not pay attention intently, they would have missed a faint nod of the maknae. "Okay...so...what you don't know?"
