"Has anyone seen Daniel?" Kay questioned, looking at her three friends.

"I don't think he came to our room last night and if he did he must've snuck in when I was asleep and left before I woke up." Corbyn explained.

"Wherever he is, he sure his happy." Gabbie said, squinting in the sun.

"Possibly." Kay shrugged.

"I feel bad though." Tate mumbled. "He ran away because of me."

"Don't. You were only joking." Corbyn  smiled at her.

The four teenagers just sat in the cafeteria in a comfortable silence. That morning their scavenger hunts had been finished and tomorrow was the morning they begun normal classes.

"What do we do now? Seeing as we can't find Daniel and we've finished our hunts." Gabbie asked.

"We could go out to the town." Tate shrugged.

"Yeah, and we could watch a movie." Corbyn told them.

"But?" Kay edged him on.

"What?" Corbyn looked at her.

"C'mon, Corbyn. You're never this helpful. There's got to be a catch." She raised an eyebrow.

"Yes I am helpful!" Corbyn gasped, offended. "But yes, there is a catch. Can i bring Christina?"

Kay choked. "What?"

"And can I bring Jonah." Tate smiled.

"Hold up, you two! Since when were  you guys best friends with those two?" Gabbie questioned, shocked.

"Oh! Look! It's Mrs. Marigold. I have something to ask her." Corbyn said, avoiding the question and running across the cafeteria.

Gabbie and Kay looked at their elder friend and she chuckled at them nervously. "Haha. Wait for me Corbyn!"

Daniel had been hanging out with Harper a lot recently and she made him happy. So happy he forgot all about his other friends.

Harper led him to a small sunflower field and Daniel smiled.

"What's this?" He questioned the younger girl.

"When you look at this field, l want you to be at one with the sunflowers." She told him. "Be the sunflower."

"Are you high or something?" He chuckled.

"No, Daniel. Come on." She told him, going behind him and covering his eyes with her hands. "What do you see?"

"Darkness." Daniel laughed.

"Now imagine a sunflower. How free it is, how it dances in the wind." She whispered in his ear, her hands still over his eyes. "And why do you think that is?"

"Because it's a plant." Daniel smirked.

"Daniel! You're not taking this seriously." Harper sighed, frustratedly, removing her hands from his face and turning to walk away.

"No, wait Harps. I'm sorry." He grabbed her hand before she could leave pulled her towards his chest.

"Forget it." She mumbled looking down.

Daniel frowned and tilted her head up with his index finger. He had one hand at her waist and the other removed a stray hair from her eyes.

He stared into her brown pools and she stared back into his blue ones. He began to lean in and she furrowed her brows.

"What are you doing?" She asked in a hushed tone.

"Trying to kiss you." He raised a brow.

"Why?" She whispered.

"Because I really want to." He whispered back.

"Okay." She nodded.

Daniel smiled at her and she blushed as his lips came in contact with hers. A small bolt of electricity ran through her lips and for once in her life she was truly happy.
