Ch. 4

-Camila's P.O.V.-

I stand up as straight as a pole and stare into the British man's eyes. Dinah sets her hand on my shoulder and squeezes lightly. 

"Simon, I promise they had nothing to do with this. It was all Dinah, Mani, and my idea. The girls didn't even know we were doing it, we wanted it to be a surprise. We just want them to be happy.." Ally's voice trails off. 

I glance over at Ally as she grabs Lauren's hand. I was so caught up in the commotion I didn't even notice Laur's breakdown. She's standing with her hands covering her face and her hood over her beautiful brown hair. Her body shakes from her silent sobs. 

I look back at the intimidating man. He hasn't moved a muscle since Ally's interjection. 

"Well, Miss Jauregui and I had a very serious and simple conversation that we will give her a chance to prove that Camila and herself can live together without having a relationship. Obviously, as shown, you girls aren't helping with the situation either. Lauren made an agreement that if there was any "funny business" that we would remove herself or Camila from the rest of the group for the remainder of the time. And it looks like we are going to have to proceed with that." he said without missing a single beat, like he's been practicing this speech for some time now. 

I accidentally let out a loud gasp and aggressively turn myself facing Lauren. "Is it true? Really?" I start to yell toward the fragile girl. The only response I receive is a nod. Her eyes are swelled with tears and her right hand covers her mouth with her hoodie sleeve. I clench my hands in fists and feel my face getting hot.

"WHY. WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME? OR AT LEAST WARN ME THAT THIS MIGHT HAPPEN? DID YOU GUYS KNOW TOO!?" I look around the small room as I see the 3 girls look at each other ashamed of their secret knowledge. 

Dinah hangs her arms around my neck, "Mila, you have to understand we didn't want you to be upset or worried. Lauren was afraid if you knew you wouldn't treat her the same and you would try to avoid her at all costs. We didn't want you guys to have to strain your relationship just because of some dumb agreement." 

"We did it cause we love you both Mila. And Lauren loves you so much, she didn't want to see you struggle." Mani whispers and runs her hand up and down my arms trying to comfort me. 

"Well girls, I'm sorry but Lauren or Camila you need to pack up your stuff and be ready to move off of the bus after tonight's venue. We will have sound check in 45 minutes. Please do not be late, Miss Lovato is going to be there to watch and give some advice too." 

OMG! I totally forgot!!! Demi is here, maybe she can help with this whole situation!! She could be like our chaperone, Lauren and I could go on cute dates and maybe watch set together, and we could have movie nights together, and we cou.....

My daydream is interrupted by the slam of the bus door. And then, haunting silence. 

The only noise is coming from Lauren as she walks toward the back of the bus, finally letting out her bottled up tears. Ally and Mani stand with their arms crossed and sorrowful faces. 

"We are really sorry Mila. We just wanted to surprise you guys for your anniversary. We didn't mean to cause this to happen." Mani says as she looks down at the ground and fiddles with her pant leg. 

"I know guys, thank you for trying to help. I just wish someone to......" 

the sound of broken glass and violent tendencies echo throughout the small touring vehicle.
