"This is such a horrible fucking idea,"  Harry murmured to Louis quietly, trying to make sure that no one could hear what they were saying. Louis let out a scoff, leaning into the taller boy.

"That's an understatement," Louis replied. After they had discovered that Tyler and his family were joining them for the trip, Louis and Harry made sure to make a point of needing to rest after such a long trip to everyone. The pair quickly scurried off to the room that they were sharing and binged watched Lucifer the entire night.

The next morning was most certainly awkward. They were all getting ready to drive up to the cabins when Tyler walked in on Harry and Louis cuddling. The whole situation was just shitty. Now, at the lake, they were just thankful that they had made it to the cabins safe and sound and that there had been no awkward moments since that.

"Do you think he's going to kill me by the end of this trip?" Harry wondered. Louis glanced over at his real boyfriend then back at Harry.

"I mean, he might want to try but I'll protect you," Louis answered. Harry let out a laugh, both hands moving to rest on Louis' hips as the smaller boy stood in front of him.

"My damsel with shining eyes," Harry replied. The smaller boy's face flushed red, immediately turning into shy, giggly Louis Tomlinson. There had been a shift in their behaviour. More intimate touches, pet names and Harry could see Louis opening up to him, letting down the harsh exterior that was that sassy attitude.

"Damsels are usually the ones who need saving," Louis pointed out.

"Not mine, he seems to save me," Harry returned. Louis wanted to melt into mush. He hated how giddy he felt. He loved Tyler, he did but it had been a while since the Jock had made him feel this way.

They were dressed in their swimming gear, all of them had agreed on going for a swim at the lake whilst Mark and Tyler's father used this time for work.

"Lou? Harry? You ready?" Jay called from outside of their shared cabin. The smaller boy raised his eyebrow, holding out a hand for Harry to take.

"Ready to go, sir?" Louis questioned. Harry smiled, placing his hand into Louis', thumb stroking the back of the smaller boy's hand.

"Of course, princess," Harry answered softly, The taller boy tugged Louis out of their cabin and outside before Louis could even say anything. Jay, Melanie and Tyler were all waiting outside for them. The Jock narrowed his eyes at Louis and Harry when they made their way over.
