A/N: Hey guys! I know it has been a while since I update this book. I felt like I needed to update and possibly finish this book. Sorry for the ones who have been waiitng for an update and probably forgot about the book. Life has been hard and writer's block loves being around. I read through some chapters and kind of cringed but maybe when I feel like I should I will edit it some. But here is chapter 18 for you.

-
Zach's Point of view-

I sit next to the window staring at the lake. It's been 3 days since I found out my mom was murdered. Who could murder such a beautiful soul?

I feel so lost. I don't have my mother anymore. No more hearing her voice and laughing together. No more comfort from her when my treats me badly.

Tears fall down my face and I begin crying. I have been crying for so long that I feel like I will run out of tears.

The door creaks open but I don't bother looking at who it is. "Zach, you need to eat something." It's Frankie.

I just sit there pretending I don't hear him.

"Zach come on."  I feel his hand on my shoulder and I get up.

"DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME FRANKIE." I snap.

"Dude chill I'm just worried about you-" I look at him angrily.

"Worried about me?!" I scoff. "You should be worried about mom's death!"

"I am!" His voice cracks.

"I swear you are just walking around here like nothing fucking happened. She's is your mother too."

"She was more of a mother to you." I'm sick of Frankie and his jealousy. I punch him in the mouth and he winces at the pain.

"You fucking ungrateful prick!" How dare he say that mom didn't love him. She gave love to everyone.

He pushes me and I fall back. "I'm so sick of you treating me like I'm the bad guy!" He yells. He punches me and I try to fight back.

He punches me again. Blood flies out of my mouth. I end up redeeming myself and getting him on the ground punching him harder.

The door opens and a girl stands there. "What the fuck are you two doing?" Vanessa looks down at us.

"What are you doing here?" I get off Frankie and fix myself wiping the blood off my nose.

"I came here to pay respect to your family." She explains. "You two shouldn't fucking be fighting. You could've killed each other." She hands Frankie a tissue. "Fuck this I'm out of here " He gets up and turn to me.

"Just remember that I will always be your brother." He walks out of the room.

"Zach you really taught him a lesson. Huh?" Vanessa chuckles a bit.

I look at her a bit annoyed. "What are you really doing here?"

"Zach I'm not entirely a bitch. I want to be here for your family." She holds her stomach. "Plus the baby will be apart of your family too."

"Thank you." I hug her and she hugs back. "You're welcome. You should talk to Tiana."

"I haven't spoken to her in days. I hate that I ignored her calls and text. I just feel so numb right now. Everytime I think of Ti I remember the moments we shared with my mom-" I find myself crying again.

"-She treated Tiana like she was her own daughter." I explain. Vanessa holds me close. "I'm sorry I wasn't a good girlfriend."

"You weren't the greatest but don't put yourself down. I forgive you Nes." Forgiving someone for mistakes they made shows that their can still be some peace.

"Zach I like girls." She blurts out.

"Oh. That's so cool."

"I-I thought you would respond differently." She looks at me with big bright eyes. Eyes I haven't seen in a while.

"Nes, I'm glad you are opening up. You are allowing yourself to be you. You found who you want to be and I can never judge you for who you like."

"Thank you." Tears fall down her face.

"Zach?" I look to the door.

"Tiana." The girl I love stands at the door. The one I fell for. Someone who had brought light to my life
