~Why did I name the main character Tiana Rae King? I named her Tiana because of my love for Princess Tiana from the Princess and The Frog. Princess Tiana is one of the disney princess that didn't get enough of recognition like some of the pther princesses. I gave her the middle name Rae because I looked up middle names that went with Tiana and Rae was one of them. I was vibing with that middle name so I chose it. I gave the last name of Kimg because of Martin Luther King Jr. I just love that last name for her.
~Where is Weber State University? And why did I choose that to be the college for Tiana? Weber State is in Odgen, Utah. A beautiful place. I chose Weber State to be the university where Tiana gets her education from because my brother went there. My brother was very successful there with his football career. He graduated from there in 2015. He got to go to the NFL. So I decided to have Tiana go there because of that inspiration.
~Who is my favorite character so far? Hmm.
~Why two love interests? I decided to habe two love interest for Tiana because I wanted to have her be in a situtation where she had to choose. If she chooses Frankie obviously it would have really big consequences same with choosing Zach.
~What is Black Girl Falls in Love With White Boy suppose to teach the reader? What is the theme? I want this book to tell the reader that it's okay to love someone opposite of your race. I'm known for liking boys that aren't my race. It doesn't mean that I don't like boys my race. I do like boys who are my race. People in my family expect me to date a african american boy, I question why. I mean I don't have a problem with that. I believe that if you fall in love with someone who is loving caring about you thats the one you should love no matter the race. But you have to make them feel comfortable too.
