"Silica! What...What are you DOING here?", Kirito yelled as he drove his sword into the first ape's gut and used the split second as a stand to kick the next one in the face, stunning it and intimidating the third one."GO! Don't just stand here!", he snapped at the awestruck girl who scurried back with her pet dragon, as Kirito beheaded the remaining two.
"I..well, umm, I kinda got lost", she said with an uncomfortable smile and rubbed the back of her head as Kirito glared at her, folding his arms over his chest. "To the thirty fifth floor? When I CLEARLY asked you NOT to go over the twenty seventh floor? Then why did you come here? You CLEARLY said that you can't fight properly and that you aren't interested in learning about the same"
Kirito sighed on seeing the regret on her face and winced on realising that he had been way too harsh on her. He went closer to her and rubbed her head affectionately. "I just...I don't want you to get hurt"
"I know, I'm sorry", she apologized with a watery smile and rubbed the tears from the edge of her eyes which were threatening to drop down her cheeks. "Most importantly, how is Onee-chan? It's been a while since I spoke to her"
Sachi was Silica's half sister. But the bond between them was far more than simple blood. They shared the same father, but when Sachi's mother passed away during childbirth, he father married another woman a couple of years later - Silica was their child. Both of them went entirely on their mothers and that was why it was impossible to see any physical resemblances in them, but by behaviour, they were the same - literally.
Flashback
Kirito was travelling with Sachi on a side quest, while the rest of the guild had gone out to the market in search of merchants and more equipment.
"Hey, Kirito. Why are we inside the jungle? Is this quest really important?", Sachi asked, quavering in nervousness at the eerie sounds that surrounded them, pointing her spear towards anything that made noise, barring Kirito.
"Do you want to sleep on a bed or is the floor fine with you?", Kirito asked with a smirk and Sachi gulped, shaking her head violently.
"Is it so important?", Sachi squeaked and Kirito nodded in response. "It's worth a lot of Cor, and we can lay out of the main zone for a couple of weeks. I just want to surprise Keita"
"GAAAAH!! LEAVE HER! LEAVE PINA ALONE!", a girl yelled form deep within the forest and Kirito charged forwards towards the voice. "Kirito, hey! Wait up!"
"Drunken Apes", he snarled and made short work of them immediately. The little blue coloured dragon took its seat on Kirito's shoulder and nuzzled it's cheek with his, cooing in pleasure.
"Looks like Pina really likes you. Thank you for saving me and Pina", the girl said with a grateful smile, playing with one of her side ponytails.
"Kei..I mean, Silica!!", Sachi exclaimed and hugged the girl tightly. "Onee-chan! How..how are you here?"
"Side quest! What are you doing here?", she snapped at Silica who laughed nervously. "Well, Rosalia made fun of me yet again and I got angry! I left her group thinking I can survive alone, but apparently, I can't. Still, it was far better than being a mascot for a guild and have a hundred guys hit over you every five minutes"
"She...she's your sister, Sachi?", Kirito asked and Silica nodded her head walking towards Kirito nervously. "I'm Silica. I...umm...I'm not much for swords and fighting, but I'm good at taking beasts, Pina here is an example"
"Really nice to meet you, Silica. I'm Kirito", he introduced himself with a smile.
