It has been 5 months since I started dating this basketball captain sitting right next to me. We're on his car and he's driving to the venue of their championship game. I can't believe they made it to the championship! Not that I don't think their team is not good, it's just that this one is a different league. They play with teams from a far far away town and I believe that they're really good. The first time I watched them play, they won and Xavier did almost all the work. I could be the proudest girlfriend that time.
I looked at him and he seems nervous. He's so uneasy and he doesn't talk that much.
"Hey, are you nervous?" I asked though it's a little obvious.
"Just a little." He lied. I know he lied.
"THE Xavier Andrews is nervous?"
"It's just that, the team playing against us is really good and I don't want to lose."
"Hey." I said. "You're going to be fine, okay? You are an amazing captain and coach William is the best one there is. You got this. Besides, I'll be there to cheer for you." I tried to make him feel better and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you, Gemma. I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend that you."

The game is down to the last quarter and the game was tied to 73. It's on the last 24 seconds and Xavier was holding the ball. He passed it to #23 then he passed it back to Xavier again, 6 seconds... 5 seconds... 4 seconds... He goes to the three point line, he shoots and!!!!
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUZZ!!!
It's an overtime. They added 5 minutes back on the clock and the other team was cheering loudly. They went to their dugout and I immediately went back there too even though I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to be in there.
"Where are you going?" Ashton asked.
I looked at him. "I'm just gonna check on Xavier." then I turned my back and walked away.
"But you're not allowed in there!" Luke shouted.
"I know! I'm gonna try!" I shouted, not looking back.
A lot of people were in the hallway to buy food.
"Excuse me."
"Excuse me."
I said to the people who were there. A few more steps and I reached their dug out. I went inside because no one seems to be guarding it. My eyes searched for the brunette 6 foot man who gave me the gold bracelet I'm wearing right now. I spotted him, sitting on the bench looking nervous. Coach William wasn't there so I suppose I can talk to him.
"Xavier!" I called him out and his teammates looked at me. Now I'm shy.
"Hey Gemma." His teammate Edward greeted me.
"Hey." I replied.
Xavier went up to me and we walked away from the team. "Hey babe, what's up?" He kissed my cheek. Oh god, his teammates are looking. I can feel that I'm blushing. "You're not supposed to be here you know. If coach sees you, you and I are dead."
"I know, well sometimes you have to break the rules for the people you love." I said and he smiled. "I just wanted to wish you a good luck because I can see that you're really nervous. Babe, you're an awesome player. You got this." and I kissed him on the cheek.
"Thank you, Gemma. I love you so much." He said and hugged me.
I whispered to his ear. "I love you too, Xavier."
