Chapter 12 - Selfless, Brave and True

A few days later, Mr. Gold explained it all to Emma and Neal, they were shocked as Mary Margaret and David, even Caitlynn shocked at the news that she is Mr. Gold true love and not Belle, Mr. Gold she happy that he found Caitlynn as he true love and not some person trying to change him as she just accepted him. Now were Mr. Gold and Caitlynn by Regina in her family mausoleum. They walked through out of it, to find Regina. When they found her, she was by her dead mother. Mr. Gold told her as they were closer to her. "Black always was your color."

"I'm here to bury my mother. So if you've come to gloat..." Regina started at then she sees Caitlynn. "How the hell did you get out of the sleeping curse?"

"Gold." Caitlynn replied to her. "He kissed me, then I woke up."

"I'm her true love, dearie." Mr. Gold told Regina.

"You twisted little imp, first you tell us all that Emma is the savior, then you tell me that Caitlynn is your true love?!" Regina hissed at the imp.

"Yes." Mr. Gold told her simply. "And I came to pay my respects. We had our differences, but Cora will always have a place in my heart." Caitlynn stood next to him.

"You killed her to save your own life." Regina countered.

"Sadly, desperate times call for desperate measures." Mr. Gold looked at her.

"Like getting Mary Margaret to trick me into killing my own mother?" Regina glared at him. "You may be able to hide behind your dagger, but she can't. She's going to die for what she did."

"You speak about my birth mother." Caitlynn glared at her.

"Oh, come on." Mr. Gold said to Regina, before she could say anything to Caitlynn. "We both know killing her will cost you the thing you want most. Henry. Why don't you just give up this obsession with vengeance? You know it can never make you happy."

"Yes, it will." Regina snapped at him.

"You had a whole curse worth of vengeance and what did it get you?" Mr. Gold told her. "A gaping hole in your heart."

"That was your curse." Regina glared at him.

"Which you cast." Mr. Gold looked at her. "Still haven't learned your lesson, have you?"

"What lesson?" Regina huffed.

"The same one your mother learned a long time ago. You can't have everything. She wanted power, ripped out her own heart to get it." Mr. Gold motion by his heart. "You want vengeance? Henry's the price you'll pay. Time to cut your losses."

"Never." Regina looked at him. "I will have my son. And I will have my vengeance. I will find a way to have everything."

Then not much later, they were by Mary Margaret's apartment. Mr. Gold knocked on the door. Then the door opened and David was standing in the doorway. "Get out!"

"David, please, let Gold talk." Caitlynn told her birth father. David nodded at her.

"I think you're gonna want to hear what I have to say." Mr. Gold told to David. "For her sake."

"What are you talking about?" Emma asked to him.

"Regina." Mr. Gold replied to her. "She's planning to strike back against your mother."

"What is she gonna do to her?" Henry asked worried.

"Well, she didn't say." Mr. Gold replied to him.
