Monday Morning: Mai's POV
Naru said we'd have to wait until tomorrow to do the test. Luckily for Maiko and I we have school to help us pass the time. As we were walking up to our school I stopped and saw Kuroda looking awful. Like she hadn't slept at all last night. 'I don't think Kuroda will be okay though. Mostly because if she fails that means her credibility will go down the drain. I do feel kind of bad for her.' 'Stop overthinking it. You're giving me a headache.' I here Maiko say in my head. 'Sorry. I just feel bad about this.' 'It's not your fault. Besides she needs to learn that lying like she did can hurt others. Look at Masako. She's in the hospital because of Kuroda's lies.' I know she's right.
A few minutes later, after Maiko left to go to her own class, the intercom speaker sounded just before class started. "Would Kuroda, Mai, and Maiko come to the Principles office, please. Come to the Principles office." 'What now?' I thought to myself.
I walked out first and saw Maiko at the end of the hallway. I decided to wait for her. Kuroda passes me by and walks on ahead. "Well, she looks like crap." Maiko said looking at Kuroda from behind. "That may be true, but it's not nice to talk about people behind their backs." I said. Maiko shrugs and we walk together to the Principles office.
Once we enter we discovered that everyone is there. Including his other assistant. The office curtains are closed and the lights were off. But I can make out everyone's silhouettes from the light of the open door. I look at his bandaged leg and start to feel guilty.
'Maiko we should apologize to him.' 'Not really a good idea. But if you want I wont stop you.' 'MAIKO! You're just as much at fault as me. YOU are going to apologies!' 'Okay, okay. Stop yelling at me!' We both sit down In the only three seats left. Kuroda sat in the last seat.
Even in the darken room I could make out the blush on Gene's face. It was kind of adorable seeing how lovesick he was for Maiko. 'I heard that Mai.' I turned and smiled at Maiko. She let out a sigh and went ack to her normal, serious expression. "Alright, now that everyone is here let's get started. Gene said turning on a blinking red light. Everyone's attention turns to the light.
No one's POV:
"I'd like you all to focus on the light. Control your breathing so it's in sync with the light. Very slowly relax your shoulders." Still staring at the light everyone relaxed. Unknowingly, they were falling further and further into the hypnotic suggestion. "Concentrate on your breathing. Now start counting your breathes. Breath deep. Nice and slow." Now that everyone was under Naru implanted the suggested. "Tonight the chair on the second floor of the old Schoolhouse will move. Tomorrow we will all meet in the laboratory."
After a minute or two, making sure that the suggestion had taken root, Naru opened the curtains waking everyone up from their trances. "Thank you we are done for today." Everyone got up feeling the drowsy after effects of the hypnosis. Ayako and Monk yawned and everyone piled out. Except Naru, Gene, the assistant that Mai and Maiko injured, Mai, and Kuroda.
Kuroda who walked up to Naru. "So what were the results?" "I have to go over everything so I'll tell everyone tomorrow. You should get Back to class. Maiko I would like you to stay." "Alright." Mai said with a smile and left the room. Kuroda reluctantly left after.
Gene was obviously giddy. "Let me guess, you want to test me to see about my abilities." Maiko said as soon the door closed. "That is right." Naru said. Maiko sighed. "Alright, let's get this over with."
Maiko's POV:
Obviously, the test prooved I am psychic. After school Mai, Naru, Gene, and I are currently sitting at base. "Hey mates, I was wondering if I could be of some assistance?" John asked as he walked into base. "You're just in time. Follow us. Mai, Maiko you come too, please." Gene said with a smile. John, Mai, and I follow the twins down the hall to the classroom where the chair moved. On the ground near the classroom is some plywood, hammers, and a box of nails. "Alright, John, Gene, and Maiko, you will block off this classroom with the plywood. When you are done. Mai and John you will write your names on the plywood." Naru said. We got to work.
Once everything was done Naru and Gene let us go home for the day. I am currently at home with Mai. We are about to go to bed when Mai asks "What do you think will happen tomorrow, Maiko?" "I just hope Kuroda will realize that trying to force her opinions on others will only get people hurt. Especially herself." With that said we turned in for the night.
