I woke up on the couch. I didn't mind. I sat up and stretched out my arms and legs. That was a bad idea. When my knees locked the grazes hurt and same on my elbows. When I stretched out my right arm, I had forgotten it is broken. Gosh this pain is over taking me. I sat back and tried not to cry but the pain was over powering. I could feel the warm tears rolling down my checks.
I heard someone coming down the stairs and I quickly tried to wipe my tears away but clearly it didn't work because I was enforced in a bear hug by Beau.
"Shhhhhh Sarah, Shhhhhh." I calmed down to a sniff.
"What's wrong?" he asked
"Everything still hurts."
"It'll be ok. How about you have the day off?"
"I can't my dad and sister work late on Fridays."
"Well my mum has work but I can look after you. It's my day off today."
"Ok thanks. I will just let my dad know. Can you hand me my phone?" I asked pointing to the coffee table.
I pressed my dad's name in my contacts and he picked up after the second ring."
"Hello, David Blake speaking."
"Hi dad, look I can't physically go to school today. Just thought I'd let you know. Beau has finished school and he is looking after me." There was a slight pause then he said
"Ok sweetie, get better bye."
"He's ok with it."
"That's cool. Mum?"
"Yes Beau?"
"I told Sarah to have the day off, and I'm going to look after her promise."
"That's good beau. Now go get Jai and Luke, its 8:40am. They are running late so I'm going to take them."
"FAGGOTS! MUM IS GIVING YOU A LIFT TO SCHOOL BECAUSE YOU ARE RUNNING LATE! FUCKING HURRY UP." The twins weren't down after a minute.
"HEY TWIN FAGGOTS! COME SAY BYE TO SARAH! SHE'S NOT GOING TO SCHOOL TODAY!" and before I knew it, I was in the middle a tight hug from Jai and Luke.
"Faggots could you let go please. You're both hurting me." They chuckled and quickly let go.
"Thank you" I sighed
"Sorry Sarah." The said in union.
"it's ok boys. Now go to school before you are late!"
"yes mam" Luke said
"Luke!" I yelled
"yes mam?"
"please don't call me mam."
"yes pretty."
"that's more like it." I said with a smile on my face.
"ok faggots! off you go!"
"aww do we have to Beau?"
"yes Jai!"
"but-" Luke started
"no buts!" I said smiling.
"see ya Jai and Luke. Have fun at school! But not to much without me" I smirked.
"oh we will" Luke said with sarcasm dripping from his voice.
"have a nice day at work Gina." I said.
