~Starting here will be part two of the story and yes, some parts of the story in part one is not completed yet as they will be in Part 2~

"Chu Feng. Her name will be Chu Feng. My precious daughter." A woman said so softly.

From a distance, Chu Feng could see a woman hugging a baby on a bed but she couldn't focus on the woman's face. It was blurry. That woman was calling out her name, was she not?

The scenery changed in a second. This scenery had a lot of yellow daffodil flowers everywhere and was surrounded by a lot of mountains. The daffodils filled up the entire valley, except for a small path leading towards a cottage made out of wood and vines. The cottage was really beautiful along with the scenery but they didn't look right together.

Chu Feng walked and followed the path towards the cottage. She went inside for a look. It as empty.

Just then, she heard a voice outside.

"Look! She's taking her first steps!" A woman happily screamed towards a few shiny small red and blue lights.

Chu Feng was familiar with those small blue and red lights. If they appeared around the woman then the woman is most likely a Flower Maiden.

The child almost fell while walking, but the woman used wind power to make her baby balanced again. The woman hurriedly ran to her child.

This time, Chu Feng could see the woman's face a little, though it was still blurry.

The woman hugged her child and said, "Don't grow up too fast, okay?"

Once again, the scenery changed a little: Chu Feng was now inside of the cottage.

"My dear, dear daughter," a woman's weeping voice could be heard, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Forgive mother. Mother can't take care of you."

Mother?

The voice sounded familiar. Chu Feng had heard it before. It was the same lines too. Could the woman be her mother?

"My dear, Chu Feng," the woman said as she hugged the child one last time. Then, the child disappeared. Tears ran down the woman's jade like face that now looked clear as day to Chu Feng, no longer blurry.

The woman's appearance looked almost like an exact copy of Han Qin Xi. It shocked Chu Feng. Unconsciously, Chu Feng reached out to the woman, almost wiping the woman's tears.

Voices were heard from outside. They were loud and got louder as they came closer to the cottage. People were outside chanting something like "Witch" and "Monster".

It was day broadlight. Who would come yell at someone's place?

Chu Feng walked outside to see what was happening. The entire field of daffodils were burned down and continued to burn further into the field. It was a sight to behold. For some reason, Chu Feng felt furious. She would be an idiot if she didn't understand what was going on.

Some muscle uncles dragged the woman by her hair out while the others watched and chanted.

"Filthy wench!"

An old man slapped the woman and blue blood came out. The woman did not fight back whatever they did to her. The woman only smiled at those people and kept the smile until the end. Those people stabbed the woman continuously and tied her up. The old man chanted something that was for exterminating evil.

Chu Feng wanted to yell. She wanted to scream. She wanted to spill those people's blood. Those people really made her furious.

The last scene was of a dark valley. The smell of fire was still around but the daffodils were already gone, nothing left to see. It was night and empty except for one body. The woman who called herself "mother" was losing her breath slowly. The woman laid on the ground, her eyes slowly closing.

Both Chu Feng and the woman made eye contact. The woman smiled her last breathe and closed her eyes. She was dead.

Immediately, Chu Feng woke up. Tears filled her eyes. That woman was indeed her mother. She had seen the woman many times and was cuddled in her arms. It was just that she had forgotten about the woman, her mother, until now.

Her heart ached so much. She continued to have tears run down her face nonstop until her eyes were bloody red. To witness your own mother's death was something a child shouldn't have. Fury filed her but she couldn't do anything. She didn't know who those people were. The thought of being unable to do anything made her even angrier. She could do nothing but cry and pour her heart out.

Just who were those inhumane humans?

Why would such memories come to her now?

Mingyu was beside her. He witnessed the entire thing from when Chu Feng woke up but did not dare to disturb her. He didn't know what to do in a situation like this. His instincts told him to comfort her. But how?

His body reached out and his hands gave her a warm hug. Was this how humans comfort each other? He then continued and gave Chu Feng little pecks around her cheeks, going for the lips last. His fingers held onto Chu Feng's. While he was a slave, he'd seen a lot of slave women cry but he didn't know why. People, usually men, would give them what looked like "touching".

Maybe, Chu Feng would like that "touching" and stop her from tearing up. Mingyu was just copying what he'd saw before. Usually, the slave women would either cry more and stop later or stop crying right then.

Finally, he didn't hear Chu Feng cry anymore, but he still wanted to go in for that last kiss on the lips. He felt the urge to kiss Chu Feng.

Just then, Chu Feng came to her senses. She noticed that she was in her own little home.

Was Mingyu going to do something just now?

"What are you doing?" Chu Feng asked questioningly with her hoarse voice. Though, her voice didn't sound angry or anything. It just sounded like a question.

"Were you trying to comfort me?"

Chu Feng wiped off her tears and smiled with her puffy eyes towards Mingyu who nodded his head. His hands let go of hers to wipe off her tears.

"Thank you."

Chu Feng held Mingyu's hand that was on her cheek and held it for awhile. Mingyu's eyes were looking at Chu Feng's face and then it landed on her lips. He started to feel and hear something in him pound and beat. Was something wrong with him?

She got up to get a bucket of water and washed her face fully.

After a while of refreshing herself, Chu Feng's face left no trace of her teary face from before.
