The prince's golden eyes once again showed shock as did Zhoa's,"I'm tired of you, little girl! You may be royalty, but the Firelord would love to see someone who can bend two elements. Seize her!"

I sensed a powerful aura form inside the room and I knew it wouldn't be long before Aang came out. I know he would be able to handle himself with Roku to help, so I relaxed my stance and let a soldier seize my wrist and lead me to a pillar beside Sokka and Katara. The two siblings gave me a strange look and I merely mouthed, 'Aang will be fine.' They relaxed a bit, but remained tense.

Zuko and I were chained together and we all awaited for Aang. I glanced at the prince and he looked like he wanted to ask me a question.

I sighed,"If you have something to ask, then by all means, ask me."

"You're really the Princess of Omashu?" His voice was quiet, like he was uncomfortable speaking to me,"And you're traveling with the avatar?"

        I grinned,"Yes to both."

He kept silent for more moments," Did you mean what you said?"

I smiled , he was our enemy apparently, but it was so easy to see the turmoil he was going through personally.

"I meant every word. You're a prince. Royal by blood, despite your banishment. Doesn't matter what anyone says."

He looked incredulous. Was something so obvious really surprising? I shot him a smile before focusing on the door.

"How is Aang going to make it out of this?" Katara asked.

"How are we gonna make it out of this?" Sokka shot back.

I shook my head at their panic,"It'll all turn out fine."

The strong, white light radiated from the avatar room and the door creaked open. Katara screamed to warn our little friend but the benders shot him with fire. To everyone's surprise, Avatar Roku appeared and bended the fire away. He blew the fire back and it melted the chains binding all of us. I quickly turned to catch Zuko escaping just as he turned toward me and we locked eyes. He nodded to me before leaving. What a strange boy. Anyway, Roku was destroying the temple, but Sokka, Katara, and I couldn't leave withough Aang. Gaizers of lava shot from the very foundations of the temple.

Roku relaxed and Aang was brought back to us. We caught him as he wilted to the ground,"We got you back"

We staggered out the temple, but came to a ledge overhanging a lava lake and sharp, rock spires.

Fear trickled into my brain and had to force myself to breath deep. I almost whimpered in relief when Appa and Momo came speeding toward us. We leapt on and I gripped the saddle for dear life. A Fire Nation ship passed beneath us, Zuko in it looking up at us. I sighed before turning and seeing Aang's distressed face. I made my way over and held the troubled boy to my chest. His arms secured around me and the siblings came to do the same. We had each other's backs.
