Ali POV

--------------

With only 9 tributes left in the arena, things are getting tough. We all understand that only one of us can live, so that comes to one important decision to make: do I split from the group and go solo? Or stay with them until we get down to an even smaller number? This is hard... there are definitely pros and cons to each one. If I split, I can just kill one of them in their sleep, and with Jack dead, that makes my job a lot easier. I'm just glad I didn't have to be the one to kill him. I can see Alex isn't too happy that Emme, a soloist, that decided to part from her fellow careers, has come this far. He wants her dead, and from what it looks like, will go to any extent to see her blood. If I was to kill one of them off, it would have to be subtle, where the other wouldn't suspect me as the killer.. Now, Alex or Tabi? They would both put up a fight, but Tabi is less likely to have a weapon on her is she's just scavenging. Plus, if I kill Tabi, Alex would trust my word if I claimed its not me. Okay then, Tabi it is. I retire for the night, soothed to sleep by the anthem. The next morning when I wake up, Tabi informs us that she was going to get fire wood, and I tell them ill go for a shot hunt as an alibi. Tabi leaves to go collecting, and when I see Alex turn the other way, I dash after her. When she's singing to the birds, distracted from everything in this world, I take my chance. I place my uniform arm over her mouth to silence her screams for help, and when I'm about to strike, the brat elbows me. Okay now I REALLY want her dead. She thinks quickly, but not quickly enough. I scream for Alex's help. She's in pure shock. All I do is smirk at her. She just cant comprehend what I just did. We keep fighting until Alex gets here, and when I hear he's only a couple yards away, just slightly out of sight, I fall backwards, letting Tabi have a small advantage. She grabs one of my knifes and goes to hit my chest, Alex looks at us, mortified. I start stuttering, purposely of course. And Alex, foolishly believes me. Poor little Tabi starts trying to explain herself, but Alex keeps believing me, as he saw Tabi "Try to kill me." He eventually gets sick of her "lies," and puts an end to her with his gun. She spasms out on the floor, and after a few moments, her cannon fires. Tabitha will never see District One again, and I didnt feel the slightest bit guilty. Survival of the fittest, right?
