It's been two weeks since the whole incident with Tucker and his pack. Alex asked Eugene to help build new houses for the pack members and a new pack mansion, but Eugene has decided not to especially since we plan on moving. Instead of going to live with my parents in Costa Rica, Liam, Eugene, and I have decided to move with Leo. Leo is going to move back to Arizona to take over the pack that was rightfully his. The wolves that were left over from "Tucker's pack" were being held in the cages by Alex.
There seemed to be a lot of debate about what to do with them. Specifically concerning who could be trusted. They were all in cages: men, women, children. Leo and Eugene were fighting to get them at least in a locked house because not all of them were guilty. The warriors were all basically Tucker's lakeys and the rest were merely being held hostage. There were more wolves back at the house in Arizona, over 750 from what Leo managed to get from them- with the 250 here that makes 1,000 wolves. That many wolves alone without a leader will eventually turn into a mess. Wolves need order and someone to maintain that order, that's why being an Alpha is so important. They keep that order for the pack, and maintain the well being of the people. And the Luna is just as important because they keep the alpha sane.
Leo, who was robbed of his title, wanted to leave and pursue being Alpha of his rightful pack much to everyone's shock. But Alex was giving him a hard time because he wasn't officially the leader of the pack, he didn't have a ceremony that gave him the alpha mark which was specific to each wolf. It usually meshed with their mate mark, and because they were linked a mated alpha was always more powerful.
The tension between the Leo and Alex was thick enough it could strangle you. I refused to help Alex's pack because I had to rest and take care of my pups. On top of that I was now going to help Leo with his pack, but Leo told me that I needed a full recovery before I could even do paperwork. And he didn't want me doing anything physical until the pups could walk on their own. The last thing I wanted was to add more stress on myself or Leo, so I kept myself to my babies. Like now.
Liam and Lily went into town for a mommy-daughter day, and Leo was at the pack bunker with Eugene trying again to get some of his pack members free. Because Eugene was the only wolf in the pack that he trusted, he chose him to be his Beta (his original position in his old pack), so those two were working together to make sure that they could get the pack together. My parents who were excited to have more grandchildren decided they would stay and help us out until we got situated into our new pack house. The pack however was elated to have their old Betas come back to help out, and clung to them for guidance of any kind. They took their duty very seriously and helped the best they could when they weren't trying to steal my children.
Needless to say I was left home alone with my two babies which I had no problem with at all. Right now we were sitting in front of the house as they tried their hardest to move at the speed of light. When in reality they could only go six steps without falling. Innocence liked gnawing at Jr.'s leg and Jr. obliged him lying there looking bored as his brother used his hind leg as a chew toy. I giggled picking Innocence up and poking his little nose.
"Stop being so mean to your brother," I scolded only for him to start gnawing on my finger making me laugh more.
The babies started moving away from me to the other side of the blanket and I looked up to see they were trying to paw toward their father. I smiled until I saw how upset he was walking toward the house.
"What happened?" I asked getting up.
"That cunt Alex is playing hide and go seek," Leo said. "We went to the prison and he was there for five minutes before claiming he had to leave. Me and Eugene went to that little shit shack they call a pack house to get some answers, and he told me that I needed to provide proof that I was Alpha. So I came back here to find any fucking thing that could prove that information."
