Riding through the small path that made its way into the camp you and Arthur both pulled upside the little table that Pearson was working on. Hitching your horses you both slipped off your horses at the same time
"Arthur!" Pearson said as he came to investigate the noise.
"Pearson" Arthur replied with a cheeky smile. "We brought you the meat you requested"
"Thank you, Arthur!" He said as he shuffled some cut vegetables into a bowl.
"Don't forget to thank y/n here. She helped too" Arthur said as he gestured to you.
"Oh. Thank you too, Y/n" He said sort of embarrassed.
"That's alright, Mr. Pearson" You said as you rocked on your feet sort of embarrassed too.
You and Arthur both returned to your horses and Arthur began to remove his elk from his horse, slinging it over his shoulder. As you went to your horse Arthur stopped you and moved you back.
"No" He held up his finger and spoke in a sassy voice.
You rolled your eyes and folded your arms watching him move both carcasses to Pearson.
As you watched, movement caught in the corner of your eye at it was Dutch standing at the corner of the camp. Leaning under a tree looking out to the water facing away from you. Smiling to yourself you walked up to Arthur.
"Hey, I need to go talk to Dutch. I'll catch you later, yeah?" You spoke as you put your hand on his lower arm.
"Oh, yeah. Okay" He replied.
"Thank you, by the way. Today was fun" You smiled and hugged him gently.
"Oh yeah. No problem" He blushed and hugged back.
After your interaction with Arthur, you skipped over to Dutch who was still unaware of you approaching. Walking up slowly you noticed he was fixated on the water, out of his own self.
"Hey" You said softly
As you watched Dutch jumped as he turned to you. "Oh, hello dear" He smiled
"Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you or scare you" You put your head down a little shy.
"You're alright. Was just in another world" He replied looking at you.
"Are you okay?" You asked a little worried.
"Of course" He smiled weakly. "Just... Stressed" He huffed. "You know how it is"
"Yeah" You kicked at the dirt.
"How about you?" He asked as he gazed back over the water.
"I.. Uh, I'm okay" You said as you moved next to him under the shade. "I... I uh... Wanted to talk to you about something but it can wait, since your stressed" You explained still looking at him.
Dutch looked down at you in concern before he fiddled with his mustache.
"I thank you for your consideration but you can talk to me" He explained in almost a demand. "Here, let's sit" He said as he guided you over to an old crumbly tree trunk on the water's edge.
You both walked and Dutch sat just to the side of you as he pulled out the pipe you had given him a while back. You smiled as you saw it and got flashbacks of when he made love to you in his tent.
"So?" He asked as he lit the pipe.
"I... I wanted to talk to you about... us" You said as you looked at the ground.
He grunted at you with a little smirk. "And what's that?" He asked.
"Are we... like... together?" You asked shyly.
