Chapter 13

I looked up at the sky and grinned, feeling as if I were on top of the world. I span around with my arms out wide and then I stopped and cocked my head to the side, looking at a boy. Stefan smiled back at me shaking his head. He looked as if I were pissing him right off but the same time he couldn’t help but love it.

I pulled his arm and forced him to dance with me. “Come on Stef, you’ve done it a million times before! Dance with me!”

“But what about your bratnia dusza? I shouldn’t be here with you.” He whispered nervously, still in no place to let go of my hands.

I rolled my eyes. At least I didn’t change in the future. “Stefan who cares what Kaiden thinks? He’s my soul mate. He has to forgive me or he’ll have to live eternity grieving or whatever. I like you, you’re my friend.”

“Right.” He didn’t look convinced.

Just then I looked into his eyes as he looked back into mine and then I was pulled back to reality.

“What happened Kira?” Stefan demanded looking more worried than he had in the vision.

I shook my head and smiled fake at him. “Nothing, I’m fine.”

He shook his head and grabbed my hand. “You just had a przeczucie. That’s polish for premonition. Is that the first time it’s ever happened to you?”

I shook my head honestly and sighed. “Nope, it’s nothing new.”

“Wow, seriously? Usually when warriors first bloom that’s the thing that worries them most. The warnings they get. Of course not everyone gets them. I’m only speaking for myself if truth be told.” He chuckled.

I smiled. “So you don’t know if anyone else gets them?”

He shrugged and we started walking. “Nope, I wouldn’t actually have a clue. That’s why it scared me so much with you.”

I sighed and shook my head, squeezing his hand. “Well don’t worry, so far they’ve been treating me well. Of course they worried me when I realised that the boy I’d seen in all my dreams was real but hey…it’s all good now.”

“Well I knew you’d have dreams. Most of us do but through the day, I wasn’t sure that ever happened.” He told me seriously.

I sighed and shrugged again. “Well now you do.”

He smiled and nodded. “Okay, do you want to get out of here now?”

I shook my head. “Nope, I want to go back inside. I want to speak to Kaiden.”

“Why?” He asked me curiously.

I shrugged and grinned at him. “What do you think? I just want to talk to him.”

“You’re not going to tell him you know about the whole ‘we’re going to be together forever’ thing?” He asked me with a small, amused and totally Stefan grin.

I laughed and shrugged as I pulled him back inside the school by the hand. “Nah, I’m just going to flirt with Jacob in front of his face and see how he reacts. I think it bugs him to no end and I love it.”

He chuckled and shook his head. “Geez Kira I love you but you’re the biggest tease.”

I giggled. “I guess so. Besides, your cousin is a prick. He deserves every ounce of jealousy that is brewing in his cold, immortal heart.” I sighed and met Stefan eyes who quickly looked to the ground. I bit my lip. “Wow that was harsh, I shouldn’t have said that.”
