A romantic night / 15

Naruto stepped out of the hospital. After 3 days he finally was released. He couldn't bear the deadly smell of medicine and medical tools anymore. He just wasn't the type of person enjoying his stay in the hospital even though he had some friends and a lot of company there. Sakura and Tsuande for example were valuable assets for the medical branch of Konoha and they could spare some time and be with Naruto during his stay.

Naruto slowly began walking on the street through the city. Even though he only spend 3 days in the hospital it felt like an eternity to him. He made a note for himself so he'd remember not to get beaten to a pulp. 

Another thing that made him happy is that - now that he was out - he could spend more time with his friends and do so much more things than just sitting in his bed and talking. And therefore, being in a wonderful mood, he decided to check on Ino. He grinned. Naruto had a plan for her.

He went to the Yamanaka Flower shop and entered it. Seeing nobody near the counter he decided to range around the shop and see what beautiful flowers there were. He found wonderful white flowers that immediately reminded him of Ino. With her purple outfit and her blond hair those white flowers would fit possibly.

He took the ostrich and went to the counter. By time Ino's mother entered the shop from the back door after realizing she had a customer. She was more than pleased to see the beloved boyfriend of Ino.

"Naruto, dear. It is so good to see you, my boy.", she exclaimed. Naruto smiled at her.

"It is good to be back and this time for real. And I'm happy to see you again, Miss Yamanaka."

She happily shaked her head. "Please, call me Yuka, dear. Who are those flowers for?", she asked teasingly.

"ahh... I believe for a certain blonde Yamanaka working her. Would you mind getting this certain blonde down here for a talk?", Naruto asked as he paid the flowers.

Yuka giggled. "Charming, dear. I'll get her, don't worry."

Yuka went upstairs and proceeded to call Ino while Naruto just waited there. After some seconds he heard the light footsteps of her girlfriend and hid behind the counter and slowly slid around it. And while Ino looked through the shop to see the "secret customer" she was surprised by Naruto who hugged her from behind what resulted in some joyful giggles.

Naruto smiled and shoved the white ostrich in her field of view which made her gasp in happiness.

"Are those for me?"

Naruto chuckled. "Well, I wouldn't want to buy flowers for a certain pinkie, y'know."

Ino giggled, took the ostrich and turned around to catch him in a passionate kiss. "Thank you, Naruto."

Naruto smiled. "And look. The flower -", he took one of the flowers and placed it gently behind her ear, "- will perfectly fit your outfit for tonight."

Ino tilted her head in confusion. "Tonight? What is tonight?"

Naruto placed a kiss on her forehead. "Tonight.... I'll take you out and we'll have a wonderful dinner in one of the most noble restaurants in all Konoha."

Ino blushed slightly and smirked. "Are you asking me on a date, you bold one?"

They separated and Naruto went to the door. "Maybe. I'll pick you up at 8, alright?" He blew her a kiss and left the shop, leaving a blushing Ino who inspected the beautiful ostrich in her hands

Naruto checked his clock. 7:58 pm. He was on time which would only happen on a very rare occasion. He went around the flower shop and went up the stairs outside the building that led to another entrance of the Yamanaka house. He checked his clock once again. Just when the time hit 8 pm he knocked at the door. He wanted to surprise Ino with punctuality. Naruto checked his outfit. He wore a cozy but noble black smoking with a white sark beneath it. He had to borrow it from Kakashi as he normally never wore sarks. He decided he was looking perfect and couldn't wait for his beautiful girlfriend. But when she opened the door, Naruto was about to collapse.
