The Path's Attack - Human Path / 21

Ino and her friends stood silently on the plaza. Everything aroud them was shattered. But the destruction and the corpses was not their focus. Their current focus was the one person standing some feets away of them. 

One of the so-called "Paths of Pain". A shinobi with orange hair and a black cloak and red clouds on it. The one path stood there - just as silent and still as the leaf nin - and just looked at them. Ino could swear she was seeing a small smirk in this one's face. But Ino wasn't fazed not at all by this. She was trying to figure out what the mission of this "god-like" ninja was. Why did he attack the village? Why did he wanted to kill so many innocent people? And what did he mean about "giving the people a new chance"? 

Suddenly, her sensei Asuma appeared next to her group.

"Ino, Shikamaru. Are you alright?"

Shikamaru nodded slightly. "No problem right now. This can change obviously."

Asuma nodded and focused his gaze on the intruder in front of them. "There are another 4. Spread all around the village. And the leader... is just 'resting' above our heads."

Ino dared a glance at the leader. Asuma was right. He was just floating up there and doing nothing. That made Ino worry. He definitely was planning something. 

Ino looked back at the attacker in front of them but then widened her eyes. If the other paths were spread all around the village that meant...

"Asuma. Where is Kurenai?"

Even without looking him she felt the shock reaching his face. He probably also was busy saving most of the innocent villagers. And therefore could not act quickly and care for his wife.

Asuma motioned to move back and rush towards their apartment but Shikamaru stopped him.

"I'll go. I am faster than you. You stay here and help the others."

Asuma wanted to resist but stayed still. He didn't like getting commanded by his students but Shikamaru was right. He was faster than him.

"Alright... but go! NOW!"

Shikamaru didn't hesitated and immediately turned around and rushed away.

Ino fcoused her glance back at the intruder. Somehow, the only thing she could think of was Naruto. Her boyfriend. And how he wasn't here. He most definitely would have a plan to defeat them. There was no doubt on that. But Naruto wasn't  here. She had to think about something herfself. But Ino felt unsafe. With Naruto on her side, she would have more confidence fighting the paths.

Suddenly, the path smirked and laughed out loud. 

Ino looked at him in confusion.

"You're thinking about the blonde ninja, aren't you?"

Ino's eyes widened. How...?

"I am the Human Path. Ningendo. I can read the minds and souls of every human. And thus seeing what you truly feel. Should I tell you something, little girl?"

Ino stayed still, not knowing that to expect.

"We met him. And our main path KILLED HIM. HIS BLOOD FLOWED!". With that Ningendo started laughing like crazy.

Ino couldn't react properly. She just stood there and was completely shocked. Her dear Naruto... dead? Not living anymore? Killed by them?

The sudden sadness quickly turned into hatred and anger. Absolute anger. She only had one desire. Killing them. Ripping every single on of them apart.

"Ino...", Temari began.

Ino didn't listen. She immediately rushed towards Ningendo who still laughed maniacally. When Ino reached him she threw her first punches and kicks at him. That definitely surprised him but Ningendo was able to block most of the attacks. He went into a defensive mode while Ino continued to attack.  She kicked his side and tried to punch his head. When Ningendo blocked those attacks she spun around and drop-kicked his torso. Ningendo was once again able to block this kick but then Ino used a Body Replacement Jutsu and swaped places with a nearby rock. That surely surprised the Human Path as he felt Ino's kick in his back. Ningendo flew some feet away and stood back up just to be once again attacked by Ino. This time he started to block her attacks more aggressive and tried to ladn some hits on her himself even though Ino's super offensive battle style didn't leave much room for counter attacks.
