"Uh... yea, that's my nick name for people..." I said but I didn't understand. she had never heard me call anyone that. that's the first time I've called someone 'sweets' since... since her. she was the little girl I met when I was 14 she had the most beautiful blue eyes, they looked like the ocean, and that hair. Oh that hair it was like the whole sun was turned into silky threads that made the most beautiful braid I've ever seen. she was beautiful and I never saw her before then not did I see her after that. I have no idea what came over me when I called her that. she reminded me so much of the little girl I met. I think her name was nicole.
FLASHBACK
She blushed and it was amazing
"You look very nice today, Nikki" I said amazed by her look.
She turned the color of a ripe tomato
"Why thank you, lee"
"Well can I see you tomorrow? maybe we could go to the malt shop?" I feel a blush coming up my neck so I look down and smile to myself.
"Sure lets meet at 4:00 o'clock!" She said enthusiastically
"Wow really ok so um here's my house number. call me. okay?"
"Okay. Sure will." she said, but not as happy as she was before.
"Ok well I have to get home I'll see you tomorrow. right?" I said not really wanting To go.
"Right. bye lee,,"
PRESENT TIME
"Oh ok well I have to go home."
"Ok well I'll see you at the dance right sweets?"
" right. bye Leland!" she said and I knew it was her the girl I met back then all this time, because none of my friends knew my real name.
