Recap:

But, luckily for me, or unluckily I guess, he sat on the edge of the bed and stroked my hair gently till I fell asleep.

I looked ridiculous and everyone could see it, and it was funny.

Friday.

"No mom!" I snapped, picking up my school bag and a breakfast bar.

"Why the hell not?" She snapped back just as fiercely.

"Because I'm not your fucking messenger!" I nearly yelled out.

Before I had the chance to say anything else, a slap to my face came and I stood there stoically as my mother stormed out of the room.

"Thanks mom," I muttered with a sigh.

I went back up to my room and checked the time on my iPod after taking some pain killers. The time read 8:32. I was late. Again.

I didn't bother to rush and only just put on skinny jeans, a loose top and hoodie with my new combat boots when the doorbell rang. My mother went out after she hit me and I wondered who of my mothers friends had come to find her now.

The doorbell continued to ring until I made it down the stairs and threw the door open.

"What?" I snapped at the person, only just realising it was the twins, Mikhail and Lockie, "sorry."

"It's alright little lamb," Lockie said, coming into the house uninvited, Mikhail sighed and apologised but also came inside.

"Yeah, come right it," I snapped irritably.

I found them both in the kitchen, munching on whatever they could find and sighed.

"Don't we need to go to school?" I asked the two of them, they didn't say anything and I sighed as I sat on a stool.

"Nope," Lockie said with a mouthful of ham.

"We're taking you shopping instead," Mikhail told me around a mouthful of crisps.

"Shopping?" I whined, "why? I don't need anything."

"You will," Mikhail said, leaving the kitchen before I could question him and went upstairs.

"You'll need this," he said as he came back into the room 15 minutes later with one of my duffel bags that looked as if it was stuffed, "I'll put it in the trunk of my car, and you'll be glad I did."

He left the room again before I could say anything, again to him and I sighed once more.

"Come on then. We best get going," Lockie jumped from the stool he was sat on and walked round the kitchen island to me, dragging me up with him and out the front door.

"Nuh-uh," I shook my head, "it's ugly and ew. I thought you two had better taste than this."

The shirt was... I don't even know where to start, the main colour was yellow, the checkered lines were green, and some of the boxes were filled in with pink. It was horrendous.

"Oh come on," Lockie laughed as he looked at me, and Mikhail I could tell was also trying not to laugh, "it doesn't look that bad."

"Doesn't look that bad? Are you crazy?" I asked hysterically with a bit of a laugh.

"Probably," they said in unison with straight faces, just before cracking up laughing. I did also after a moment of watching them, I looked ridiculous and everyone could see it, and it was funny.

People walking past gave us funny looks but we carried on laughing, and when I calmed down, I changed from the shirt to my regular clothing.

"Okay I'm not letting the two of you pick my clothing again," I muttered sternly, placing the hanger with the shirt on and other clothing pieces on the rack where you put them if there not wanted.

"Fine," Lockie sighed, "we're going to get you some shoes then," my hand was grabbed, and I grabbed Mikhail's as the two of us were taken to the shoe store next door to the shop we were in.

"What kind of shoes do you like?" Mikhail asked when I let go of his hand and he went off to see some different shoes.

"I don't need any of this stuff," I looked down at the bags in my hand, and then in the twins. We had more bags than we could carry and they still wanted to buy more! Where were two 17 year old guys getting the money from to buy this stuff?

"You will do," Mikhail once again said and walked away.

"Ugh!" I moaned, following him and not saying another word, only giving nods or shakes of my head if I liked the shoes or not.

When we were done in the shoes shop I refused to go into any other, we already had more bags that the three of us could carry and it was also getting late.

"You're gonna be staying with us tonight," Lockie told me when we reached the car, "and you'll be staying with us tomorrow also as we need to give you a makeover."

I gasped and gave them both a mock glare, how dare they say I need a makeover, I love my hair, and well I guess I could use a hair cut but it was not nice to tell someone that.

"Fine. I just need to sleep," I laid down in the back of the car and just let myself fall asleep as I felt safe with the twins. Safe that they would protect me and that I could be myself around them.

It was just, nice to feel safe again since my dad. It felt nice to have someone care for me, and hopefully be a good friend for the rest of my life.
