Chapter Nine: Reluctant Agreement(or not)

Cobra had called for any of the "leaders" who had time to meet him for what he called a meeting, but he actually planned on getting them on board with a "plan" of his. However, not too many of them decided to come. Even some of the weaker ones denied it. However, four of them agreed to come, mainly only because they didn't live to far. The four leaders who decided to come were a Corythosaur, Camarasaur, Euoplocephalus, and an Albertosaur. 

The Corythosaurus was known as Cassowary, who had gotten his name due to the amount of aggression he has whenever he defends his herd. And fighting him is no joke, either. He was responsible for the deaths of many carnivores who thought it was a good idea to fight the hadrosaur. However, he can separate friend from foe, and he has made friends with several of the carnivores. 

The Camarasaur is named Silver, and he has his name due to his unique color. He is actually the last Camarasaurus to be colored the way he was. As a Camarasaurus, he is no pushover, and he is one of the largest Camarasaurus alive, if not the largest. And because he and his herd lived here year round, he was the largest permanent resident of the general area. 

The Euoplocephalus was named Limestone. His main significance was that he is not only powerful, but is good friends with every other notable dinosaur individual. He is also the oldest of the four, being about 67 years old. 

The Albertosaur was known to everyone as One-Arm. He got his name due to the stub that used to be his right arm. That was caused by Bloodknight, another Megaraptor who One-Arm successfully killed. 

One-Arm sat down. Cobra saw two nasty scars on his face. "So, did you fight another albertosaur" Cobra asked. "Yeah, shitty babysitter. About two months ago. He lost one of my eggs! He's lucky even one hatched, or he would've been tossed into sarco infested waters" One-Arm said. "Ah, yes. You could probably pull a Deinonychus on me" Cobra remarked, sounding slightly nervous. "You're damn right I can" One-Arm proudly said. 

"And Cassowary, not too bad yourself" Cobra said to the Corythosaurus. "Can I go home, or is this worthwhile" Cassowary asked. "It shouldn't be too long" Cobra said. Cobra then looked at the Camarasaurus. "Heyy, Silver! How's it going" Cobra asked. "Piss off" the Sauropod said. "What are we even here for" Limestone asked. 

"Simple, I want you all to help me eliminate some dinosaurs. The group in the mountains" Cobra said. "No, at least they're respectable" Limestone said. "I don't feel like it" Cassowary said. "Heck no" Silver said. "What good would that do for us" One-Arm asked. 

Cobra sighed, and tried thinking of what would motivate them. "Come on, most of their group is predators. Last time I saw them, they had thirteen large carnivores, seventeen medium ones, and god knows how many small ones. I even heard rumors they had another Albertosaurus. Those carnivores, and a bunch of dangerous herbivores too. And you care about the safety of your groups, right" Cobra said. 

"Fine. So long as you don't kill any of us, we'll get em' if we cross paths with them, but don't expect us to actively search for them or join your petty battles" One-Hand said. "Yeah. I need my herd getting to where the food is, and I think Silver can relate" Cassowary said. "Yeah, we can" Silver responded. "Fair. I just needed your loyalty" Cobra said. "You only have us reluctantly doing this for you. I'm against killing members of my kind, and you said they had an Albertosaurus. Our pack sees that behavior as taboo" One-Hand said. "Fine then, take the albertosaur into your pack if you see him. I just want that group gone, disbanded, or dead" Cobra said. 

One-Arm got up. "I have a son to care for. I gotta go" One-Arm said. Everyone else headed off in his direction, and Cobra left. "Hey, One-Arm, are we really about to do this" Cassowary asked. "Heck no! I'm not killing anything unless it poses a threat. The only thing I'd be willing to do is take in another pack member, but even then, that other Albertosaurus is probably happy with his current one" One-Arm said. "Tell me why I would do that" Silver asked. "I'm above working for a damn megaraptor. Should've whacked him while I still could" Limestone said. "So, I guess our consensus is that we won't do anything, and he just wasted our time" Cassowary said. "Aye" One-Arm said. They all headed off, all agreeing that what Cobra said was pointless.
