Part 4 - Shinigami

Whoo Hoo! i finally made it to part 4. :) I've been really procrastinating on this part but I finally got to it. I have no idea how many parts this story is going to have but I know excatly how it's going to end ;) Hope you guys are enjoying this so far. Part 5 is going to be put up either tonight or tomorrow depending on how fast I can type in this class. Yes. The mojority of this story is being written in my class. Lol XD Now...GO!

This part leaves off where Marie is going to tell Crona about shinigami.

- At Stein and Marie's house-

"Shinigami?" Marie asked, wondering why the young child would want to know about shinigami.

'Y-yes." said Crona, afraid that she might have said something wrong.

"Well...," started Ms.Marie,"a shinigami is a God of Death. They are far more powerful than both humans and witches. Because of their power, shinigamis and witches live longer than humans." Suddenly Marie stopped."Why exactly do you want to know about shinigami?"

"Ummmm...," says Crona, trying to think of an excuse to bring up Death the Kid. "Y-you see Ms.Marie, t-here's this shin-shinigami..."

"This is about Kid isn't it Crona?"

Crona looked up at Ms.Marie, who had a smile on her face.

How did she know that?

Crona was confused about how Ms.Marie knew she was talking about Death the Kid. A person who Crona never spoke about until about an hour ago.

"H-how did you know I was talking about Kid-kun Ms.Marie?"

Ms.Marie chuckled a little before explaining.

"Don't tell Maka this, but Spirit asked me and Azusa to spy on she's when she's not in school. When all of you guys are walking home together, I've noticed how nervous you seem around Kid even when all he says to you is 'hi'."

(A/N : Azusa is another Death Scythe who is about the same age as Marie, Stein, and Spirit. They all went to the DWMA together.)

Crona's stutter soon became more noticeable.

"I-I'm so so so so so s-sorry."

Crona began repeating infinite amounts of "I'm sorry's" to Ms.Marie. But Ms. Marie was confused about why the pinkette was apologizing so much.

"Crona please. You have to calm down. And please dear, stop apologizing."

Crona stopped once she heard the reassuring words from Ms. Marie. She then said another "I'm sorry" before continuing.

"Yes. This is about Kid-kun. I've l-liked him for quite some t-time now, but was not a-aware of it until n-now. Everything you t-told me about loving s-someone and them becoming your soul m-mate, that's exactly how I feel about Kid."

Crona then held held her head down in an attempt to hide the blush on her face that was a now the color of her hair. She continued the rest of her confession with her head down.

"I want to stay by h-his side forever but to do that I w-want to learn more about who he is. E-even if he considers me n-nothing more than a friend, as long as I can stay by his s-side I think I'll be okay."

Crona held her head up and smiled a smile that until now, has only been seen by Maka.

Ms.Marie, who has been smiling this whole time said, "Well I think that's beautiful Crona. In order to truly love someone, you have to love not only their perfections but also their flaws. If you really want to take care of Kid here's what you need to do..."

Crona was now listening intently and nodded for Ms.Marie to continue.

"Just be there when he needs you. One day, Kid is going to need all of his friends to help him get through tough times and that includes you. Do you understand what I'm saying Crona?"

"I t-think so Ms. Marie." replied Crona, kind of understanding what Ms.Marie was saying but at the same time, confused about what "tough times" that an all powerful Grim Reaper would have.

Crona stood up and made her way to the door thanking Ms. Marie one last time before heading back to Maka and Soul's place.

After Ms.Marie closed the door, Stein, who had been listening in on their conversation spoke.

"How did you know about Kid?"

Ms.Marie turned around to face Professor Stein with a sneaky look on her face.

"Let's just say that the next time you go out shopping for supplies, make sure you bring your phone with you."

Stein took his phone out of his pocket and saw that he had missed text from Spirit telling him to come to Death Room with Kid's test results as soon as possible.

After reading the text, Stein looked at Ms.Marie and said, "I'm sorry, but we might have to postpone our date."
