- when cady first comes to north shore she is pretty overwhelmed and a little nervous

- damian pulls you into a hug

- "we're done cady." you tell her before damian leads you to the scooter with cady watching in disbelief

- that night damian and janis stay with you as you cry everything out, ignoring all of cady's texts
- when the burn books is released you are put down as "a kiss-up"
- when cady takes the blame for the book even though you're mad at her you know that it wasn't her
- as cady walks out the school she gives you one last look
- it's prom night and you are hanging around with damian and janis
- when cady comes in and is announced prom queen she looks at the crown and realizes it is nothing compared to you
- when she gets off the stage she gives you the last piece of the crown
- you two stare at each other for a long time
- "i know this stupid chunk of plastic isn't gonna make up for what i did, but i am so, so, so sorry."
- you smile lightly at her, taking the crown and tucking it into her red hair before taking her hands
- "it won't. but a dance might be a start."
- you two spend the rest of the night dancing with each other, eyes never leaving each other
