02 The First Law of Percy Jackson

Annabeth woke up with a start. It was around 2 am when she was working on a very complex statue of Zeus and fell asleep on her desk. It only felt like a few minutes, but it was 4 in the morning and she wasn't even close to finishing it.

She packed up all her tools and carefully put Daedalus' Laptop on charging. She quietly walked outside of her cabin to get some air and softly exhaled when she saw Percy lying peacefully on the grass with his head against a mossy log.

She sat beside him, gently placed her head on his chest and closed her eyes. Making all her stress vanish, just like that.

"You know I'm awake right?" Percy said, startling the crap out of Annabeth.

"Oh my gods," she said taking a shaky breath, "do you aCTUALLY HAVE ANYTHING EXCEPT FOR KELP IN YOUR BRAIN??"

Percy just laughed his dorky laugh and kissed Annabeth on her cheek, "It's been 5 years and I still think you look adorable when you get mad."

Annabeth groaned and hugged him tightly.

"Please don't feel that happy, remember the last few times we did feel happy?"

Annabeth smiled, "I'll try my best."

"I love you wise girl."

"I love you too seaweed brain."

On that note, they both closed their eyes and fell asleep, together, once again.

"Shhh," Travis and Connor whispered to Will, Nico, Katie, Piper, Leo, and MANY more campers. They gestured towards Will, asking him for a hand.

The three worked in silence for about 2 minutes while the others softly whispered and giggled among each other. When they were done, Will gently poured a purplish liquid down Annabeth's throat and gave Nico a look saying I-don't-like-this-but-I'm-still-doing-it-for-you.

And then there was Grover, chanting "This is not good, this is not good, this is not good..." again and again to make himself feel better.

"Done," Travis said with a mischievous smile.

"Hopefully Annabeth wouldn't hate me after this," Piper whispered.

"Piper, girl, this was your idea," Leo whispered back. 

"Everyone hide! they're waking up!"

They all ran away, leaving Percy and Annabeth alone.

Percy groaned and scratched his back, "Why did no one wake me up earlier? Bugs love me even more after Gaia happened."

Percy slowly opened his eyes and looked around, "Annabeth?"

"Where is everyone?"

Annabeth yawned and sat up confusedly. She looked around like she has never seen the camp before.

"What did you just say?" She said firmly, making Percy jump.

"Where is everyone."

"Before that."

Percy looked at her in confusion, "'Annabeth'?"

"Yeah," she said slowly, "Who's that?"

He looked at his girlfriend in horror and heard a few giggles from behind Thalia's tree. 

He turned around with anger in his eyes as everyone came out.

"NOT FUNNY PEOPLE," Percy said, "AND GROVER, ARE YOU A PART OF THIS?"
