A heavy puff left Elizas lunges as her eyes tried to focus on the books and papers ahead of her. However almost four cups of coffee, one bagel, one blueberry muffin and one upcoming order of yet another bagel had helped. She sat at the regular coffee shop and studied. Over the past year she had started to studie again so she could finish her Master of Science in business and economics. One year ago she decided to take a break from her studies due to the lack of continuing when other more interesting doors opened.

"Your bagel, Eliza." Thomas the barmaid said, snapping her out of her daydreaming of a completely different and more lavish life.

"Thank you," She said and her nostrils filled with the smell of the bagel. Thomas raised his brow.

"Hard time focusing?" He asked with a light crooked smile on his face. She frowned. "You were ont he same page one hour ago when I gave you the muffin." He filled in and a light blush stained her cheeks as she rolled her eyes.

"Well, my thoughts are more interesting than microeconomics and statistics." Eliza said as she took a big bite of her bagel. Thomas chuckled as he placed a fresh blueberry muffin on a crisp white napkin next to her plate. She frowned.

"I think you'll need some extra energy." He said and she smiled at him.

"Thank you." Eliza said and he returned the smile before walking towards the desk again.

"Eliza, if you don't mind me asking. What happened to that handsome man that you said usually helped you with the studies?" He asked and she started coughing. "Can't he help you understand that as well?"

"No." She said firmly and Thomas noticed that the man she once had been almost bragging about had turned into a sensitive topic. She licked the crumbles of the bagel of the corners of her mouth before trying to study once again.

"Liza! Time to leave, we are closing soon and bad weather is coming up. You better get home." Thomas said and she only hummed as she wrote the last thing in her notebook before starting to pack up her things. Her eyes looked up at the grey sky outside. Nothing new, only the usual Oslo weather.

"See you another time, Thomas," Eliza said before leaving. She hugged her coat tight to her body as she stepped outside in the cold autumn air. She started to make her way down the street, passing a few people on the main road, cars driving past. Suddenly a black sleek car drove beside her on the road. She glanced over it yet kept walking, increasing her speed as she did.

Eliza tried to ignore the car yet it kept driving beside her. She knew the car, all too well. Chills ran down her spine and she just wanted a black hole to swallow her whole. Increasing her speed yet again the car kept driving by her side. Swallowing hard she took a right turn down a smaller street to lose the car. Looking behind her back she saw the car, the window in the back seat slightly opened and a thin string och smoke blended with the cool air. Then without hesitating she started to run as fast as she could. The sound of screeching tiers filled her ears yet she didn't look back, instead she kept running at a steady pace.

Her feet clashed into the puddles as she ran. Eliza soon turned to the left and onto an even smaller street yet she could see a street further ahead with a busstop. A yelp slipped past her pink lips as a sharp pain hit her on the ribs on the right side. Her pace got slower as her legs started to burn. However she didn't stop her running entirely. Soon she stopped onto the road and relief started to fill her lunges as she saw the busstop.

Suddenly the black car pulled up right infront of her onto the sidewalk and her breath was caught in her lunges. The sleek black cars tinted windows were almost glowing, the droplets of water cascading down the metal. She gulped and forced herself to start running again, away from the car and towards the incoming bus. It stopped ahead of her, the doors opening and the sound of a car door slamming shut filled her ear even if the sound of her hard breathing and blood pumping through her veins.

Eliza stepped onto the bus the last minute and the doors slammed shut behind her, a tired bus driver was behind the wheel and when she walking further onto the bus she saw the familiar man stopping right outside the windows. Their eyes met and fright filled her body, before taking a seat, making her back face the man. Without being able to contain her curiosity she peeked behind her shoulder and saw the man still staring at her as he took out his phone, calling the only one she could think of.

She dug her hand deep into her pocket and dialed the number to the first person she could think of, Eric. She quickly pressed his contact and soon the sound of the tones filled her ear.

"Pick up. Pick up. Pick up..." She mumbled as she bit her nails.

"Hey, you've reached Erico the man, please leave you name and number because I obviously missed this call. Bye!" The familiar voicemail made a small smile spread onto her lips yet it was a cover up. A tear fell down her cheek.

After fifteen minutes she reached her busstop around the block from her apartment. Eliza quickly got out from the bus and hurried home. She she fumbled with the keys outside the door she looked down the street yet it was calm, only Mr. Henricssen down the street was walking his dog. She slammed the door shut and locked the door with her three locks before dropping the bag onto the floor.

"Meow." Soon the fluffy ball ran towards her with its tail straight up. A smile spread on her face before picking up her cat. The white cat with the pink nose started to pur in her arms.

"Hello Hodge, missed me?" She buried her face into the soft neck and inhaled its scent before placing it back on the floor. She walked to the bathroom after filling Hodges bowl with food. She removed her clothes one by one, a sigh of relief left her lips when all the soaked clothes were off. She turned the water on and when steaming hot she stepped inside the shower. It burned on her skin, yet the days event made her feel dirty.

Smelling of jasmine she stepped out of the shower with a white towel around her body. She looked in the mirror and the heat had given her face some life, cheeks red yet eyes tired, exhausted. Leaving the bathroom her body was hit with the cold air as she walked towards her bedroom. Her apartment wasn't big. One bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a smalled living room. It was a box yet it suited her.

Eliza threw the towel onto the bed as she started to get dressed. Yet she had only gotten her panties on when her phone begun to rang. It was a hidden number and she frowned. She gulped and pressed the accept button.

"Hello?" Eliza said yet it was completely silent on the other line. "Who is this?" She questioned as she could hear a small sound on the other side, deep breaths. Goosebumps covered her body by each breath.

"If this is a joke it's not funny." She stated, trying to sound confident. However she didn't fool the person on the other line.

"You should be wearing silk, sweet pea, I've always told you that." His deep and rich voice filled her ears. Her heart stopped in her ribcage. "No matter how wonderful your body is, black cotton panties doesn't suit you." He continued and her eyes started to frantically move around the room as she quickly reached for the towel.

"Don't be shy, sweet pea. It's nothing I haven't seen before."
