The Great Lock In (pt 2) #8

It was around 6:00 when food finally arrived for the students. The school always went all out when it came to catering so there was plenty of options to choose from.

All the students began flooding the tables grabbing food like wild animals. 

After the mayhem that just occurred, the students were finally able to relax and eat the food they fought so hard so for.

Mondo walked back over to his friends, full plate of food in hand. "I'm surprised you guys survived that" Mondo laughed as he sat down on his sleeping bag. "I would of never thought it would get like that" Ishimaru laughed as well.

"Oh you don't even know Ishimaru, this is literally the best part of the lock in" Leon stated as he dug through his food. "Leon you're an animal" Chihiro sneered at him and slapped his wrist.

Ishimaru looked at Mondo's stack of food and then back at Mondo, he could sure eat a lot. He was a pretty big guy after all. Ishimaru starting blushing again, trying his best to hide it with his sleeve. Chihiro clearly noticed this and he crawled over the Ishimaru. "Hey can I talk to you real quick?" The feminine boy whispered in the hall monitor's ear. Ishimaru agreed and Chihiro dragged him under the bleachers.

"Where the hell are they goin?" Leon asked looking at Mondo. "Beats me" Mondo shrugged as his response.

Chihiro let go on Ishimaru's arm and looked him dead in the face. "Do you like Mondo Ishimaru?" Ishimaru felt his face get warm yet again, this blushing stuff was really starting to annoy him. "U-uh yes of course, I like him as a friend, h-he's a good friend" He knew what Chihiro meant, but he tried his best to dodge his question. "You know what I mean" the smaller boy shook Ishimaru's shoulders. The hall monitor let out a sigh, "Is it really that obvious?" Chihiro nodded his head at Ishimaru's response. "Of course it is, that's why I dragged you down here!" He smiled at Ishimaru. "Well don't tell Mondo I said this, but he really likes you too, he told me himself" Chihiro added to his previous statement.

It took Ishimaru a while to process what just came out of the ultimate programmers mouth. "He does?" Ishimaru responded. "Yes, he really does. Why would I lie to you?" Chihiro spoke. "You should tell him you should tell him!" Chihiro shook Ishimaru's shoulders once more.

Ishimaru looked around for a bit before answering. "Eh I don't know Chihiro, I don't really know how to do all that stuff you know, I would just chicken out anyways." Ishimaru sighed and scratched his cheek. "You won't have to worry about that, I have a plan that will surely work" the smaller boy reassured Ishimaru.

"And what exactly is this plan?" Ishimaru asked Chihiro suspiciously. "I'll tell you later, the others are probably getting skeptical of where we are.

Still somewhat suspicious, Ishimaru walked out from under the bleachers, Chihiro by his side.

On the way back to the group Ishimaru saw Mondo looking at him. The hall monitor quickly looked towards something else and blushed a bit.

"What the fuck were you guys talking about?" Leon questioned the two just as they sat down. Ishimaru cringed at the red head's vulgar language and let out a shrug. "None of your business Leon" Chihiro smiled at him and winked at Ishimaru.

The group chatted for a bit more until the principal came back on stage. "It's game time everyone! We're going to do a scavenger hunt" He pulled out a sheet of paper from his pocket. "This is the list of items you need to find hidden around the school, once you have a team grab one list from the stack" The principal pointed towards the pile of papers on the stage.

Mondo shot up as soon as he heard the game that was soon to occur, he secretly loved scavenger hunts. "The four of us have to be a team!" Ishimaru suggested. "I'm down" Leon waved his hand in agreement. "I'm down too" Mondo also agreed and Chihiro nodded his head too.

Leon ran up to the stage and grabbed a list. He brought it back to his group. "Man this is quite a bit of stuff" the baseball star observed as he skimmed through the list. "How about we split them then, Leon and I will find half and Ishimaru and Mondo can find the other half. We'll come back together and share answers, is that ok with you Ishimaru?" Chihiro smiled at the moral compass. "U-uh yeah that's fine" Ishimaru started blushing again (so much blushing is mentioned in this oh my god) 
"Then it's settled, I'll text Mondo when we're done with our stuff, and he'll text me when you guys are done with your stuff" Chihiro stood up, dragged Leon with him and they proceeded to start looking.

"Well let's start looking Taka" Mondo stood up as well and pulled Ishimaru with him.

Ishimaru did enjoy the fact that he had some more alone time with Mondo, he didn't enjoy that he would probably be flushed the whole time. He pushed his thoughts aside and tried to keep his mind on the scavenger hunt.

"Mondo I think we have to go down here to find this one" Ishimaru grabbed Mondo's hand and they rushed down the student packed hallway.

Mondo simply starred at Ishimaru as he was dragged down the hall. He loved everything about the boy, even his eyebrows, which most would consider a flaw. He loved the way he didn't care about others opinions about him and he loved how strong Taka could be sometimes. It was getting harder and harder to contain his true feelings for Ishimaru, every day he struggled to contain his feelings in sake of not ruining their friendship.

Mondo and Ishimaru stopped right in front of the object they needed, they took the slip of paper from a bowl as proof of seeing the object (does that even make sense) and they ran to find the next item needed.

Still hand in hand the pair zipped down the halls and snooped around in classrooms until there was only one clue left. "Chihiro jut texted me saying they were done, so we better hurry and find this thing" Mondo looked down at his phone. He let go of Ishimaru's hand and started digging for the item.

They searched around for a few minutes until they finally stumbled upon the missing object. Mondo called Ishimaru over the notify him that he found the last thing. "We finished!" The hall monitor said excitedly as he reach to high five the biker. Then they just stood there and just looked at each other, their hands still connected. Due to the heat of the moment they slowly inched their faces closer to each other. They almost closed the gap until Mondo's phone went off. He quickly pulled away and grabbed his phone from his pocket, Chihiro had tried texting him three times already.

"W-we should go back now Taka" Mondo said to the smaller boy who was just as red as he was. "Y-Yeah let's g-go" Ishimaru responded quietly and the two started their awkward walk back to the gym.
