Chapter 4

The new Business Deal

I called Luke and apologized for the date. I also promised him that I will be his date on the upcoming ball . The Christmas party they are having on Tuesday that is in two days.

Today is Sunday and I am in office reason I have this really important meeting about the new business deal. A company wanted to invest in hotel business and since Sam flown out last night to attend some business in Japan I have to deal with it.

Also he will be coming back on Christmas night. I was so devastated by the news but work is work and he cannot put it for later like he is doing for past few months now. So now he has to catch up with all the things. Sadly it is Christmas and I have to spend it alone again.

I looked around the office draped in Christmas decoration. "Miss King the client is waiting for you in your office." Sam's PA informed me. I walked inside the office and look at the face I didn't wanted to see. "You?" I asked. "Surprised Miss King or I may say Miss Adams?" He said.

Ezra was smiling at me coyly. "Sam would never agree for this business deal neither am I" I said. "Think again Miss Adams. You have to think as a CEO not as a hurt and angry lover." He mocked. Oh he didn't go there.

"I am not angry or irrational or hurt definitely not a Lover." I said. "Last time I knew you were shouting that you love me in my wedding" He said. "That was nothing that was my foolish self trying to save your pathetic self" I spat angrily. "Now Now Amore don't be angry at me." He said. "Don't call me that" I said.

"Oh then you prefer Little one?" he asked. "I prefer nothing coming out of your mouth." I said firmly. "Now let's resume the meeting" I said. He nodded. "Take a seat Mr. Olyphant." I said. "It's Ezra to you" he said again.

"I prefer not call my business associates with their first name. " I said. "But you called Lucas by his first name last time I checked he was also your business associate." He said with a calm tone.

"He is not just a business associate. He is someone my brother chose for me and we are dating." I said. He was up at his feet and pinned me to my couch. "You are my wife fucking get that through your thick skull. There will be no one in your life other than me ever. I was you first I will be your last and I will be your one and only."

Then He kissed me. He freaking kissed me. I pushed him hard only for him to hold me in my place. He unbuttoned my dress. No... I held his hand this time pushing him away. I was breathing hard. "You never ever touch me again." He eyes turned hard and breathing turned harsher. "I am not your anything. You ruined it yourself. You never wanted me." I said shouting.

"Oh but that is where you wrong My love I have always wanted you." He said. "As your bed warmer" I spat. "As my other half" he shouted back. "Then you should have man enough to marry me on that alter rather than your precious Natasha." I yelled back.

"Everybody makes mistakes Little one" His voice soften. "Don't call me that too. I am not your anything other than your business associate" I said. "Then why are you still wearing the charm bracelet I have bought you. You should have discarded it with every thing I have given why not that?" he asked. I straightened myself.

"I Am not libel to answer you." I said. "Yes you are not but maybe you are afraid to know that answer afraid to know the truth that you are still very much in love with me" He said coming closer again. But this time I was ready and pushed him away before he can kiss me.

"Don't touch me now If you like to we could go for the meeting or I could go home." I said. "Let's resume the meeting Amore" He said and I shied irritably. Can't this man take a hint I really don't want him.

I have to admit what he had propose was quite good and I have to base my decision on what would be best for this company rather than what will be good for me.

"Ok Mr. Olyphant I will be at your house tomorrow with the contract once I discuss this with my brother." I said shaking his hand but he had something else in his mind.

He pulled me to him and kissed my forehead softly. "I was dying to do that since I saw you in the restaurant little one." He said leaving me. "I will wait for you" he said. But I have a certain feeling that the statement meant something else entirely. Something more deeper than he intended to say.
I walked home and sat a conference with my brother. He was looking tired. His brown eyes were dull and lifeless. "What happen Sam?" I asked. "I lost one of my restaurants in fire sister and the others are not doing well so." Oh dear I remember the threat. Was it all was Mr. Prince's doing?

"Will it be alright?" I asked. "Yes it would be I am not letting all go down in drain little sister." He said. "How was your meeting?" he asked. "Eventful you never told me the client was Ezra" I said. His mouth pressed into thin line. "He said he was not going to come personally he was going to send someone. But I guess he had changed his mind" He said.

"His proposal was great though" I said. "What do you want to do Harmana accepting means you have to see more of him" He said. "I don't mind actually remember killing them with kindness?" I asked.

"It was best one you and Lucian ever came up with Sister. Now I have to go tell me when that bastard signs the document and check it thoroughly for any wedding certificates." I chuckled as he went offline. Wedding certificates? From where that idea even popped in his mind?
